The journey offers breathtaking views of river valleys, glaciers, and occasional ruins. After your biking adventure, your guide will lead you to the remarkable circular terraces of Moray, historically used by the Incas as a laboratory for crop acclimatization.
- Salinas de Maras - Following lunch, venture off the beaten path to Maras, a quintessential Andean village. Here, you can wander the streets and feel as though you’ve stepped back into Incan times, as the culture has remained largely unchanged. The locals still wear traditional attire, and the town is adorned with historic buildings.
You’ll then have the chance to visit the salt terraces of Maras, where you can observe and learn about an ancient pre-Incan salt production method. Finally, you’ll ride to Pichingoto, where a van will be ready to transport you back to Cusco. This tour covers a longer distance by bike, but a van will accompany the group throughout the tour and will be available whenever needed.
