Ollantaytambo - The journey continues to the train station for a pleasant ride to the head trail.
Chachabamba - Stop at KM 104. The ancient Inca path begins in the beautiful cloud forest amidst the Andean mountains. Chachabamba, a small archaeological site believed to have been a guard house for Machu Picchu and a place for offerings before entering the Machupicchu citadel, is the first Inca site encountered. The trail then ascends gradually for about three hours, reaching 8,690 feet (2,650 meters). A stunning waterfall is passed along the way, leading to Wiñay Wayna, which means “forever young” in the Indigenous Quechua language.
Winay Wayna Camp - Wiñay Wayna is considered the most exquisite and well-preserved Incan site on the Inca Trail, discovered only seventy years ago. After touring and exploring Wiñaywayna and having lunch, the journey continues on level ground for about 1.5 hours to the “Sun Gate,” offering a grand view of Machu Picchu.
Inti Punku Sun Gate - From the Sun Gate Vista Point, the descent takes around forty minutes toward the main structures of the citadel, providing amazing panoramic views along the paved Classic Inca Trail. Finally, a bus is boarded to Aguas Calientes for dinner and an overnight stay.

Machupicchu cusco - At Machupicchu, an incredible guided tour of one of the world’s wonders is provided. An early morning start (5 a.m.) is highly recommended to reach the citadel in time to witness the sunrise over the Inca ruins. Due to Machupicchu’s new regulations, the site will be less crowded.
Temple of the Sun - The remarkable artistry of the Incas, arranged by architects and engineers, remains evident even centuries later. The precision of the carved walls contrasts with the wild, lush slopes and rocky peaks. After the Machu Picchu day trip, a bus ride returns guests to Aguas Calientes town and then back to Cusco.
