As a biologist and environmental activist, my heart has always been drawn to the lush, vibrant ecosystems of South America. The Inca Trail Adventure to Machu Picchu had long been on my bucket list, not just for its historical significance but for the opportunity to immerse myself in the breathtaking landscapes and rich biodiversity of the Andes. Their strength and good humor were inspiring, as they carried not only our gear but the spirit of the trek itself. Witnessing their teamwork and resilience was a humbling reminder of the importance of community and cooperation in preserving these precious landscapes.
