Conde Travel - We’ll pick up all passengers from their accommodations and bring them to our central meeting point for a group breakfast. Our journey then begins towards Abra Malaga Mountain at 4350m. Upon reaching our main pass, we’ll start a 3-hour descent on high-quality mountain bikes with safety gear, traveling through a paved road, passing rural villages, rivers, and streams until we reach Huamanmarca. Here, you can buy water and snacks if needed before we head to the town of Huyro. In Huyro, we’ll enjoy a delicious lunch and drop off our belongings at the eco-lodge where we’ll spend the night. After lunch, our private bus will take us to Santa María for a rafting trip. Our guides will brief us on safety and the positions needed during the trip. After rafting, we’ll return to Huyro to our eco-lodge for dinner and rest.
Santa Maria - Cocalmayo (Hot Springs) - Santa Teresa
Banos Termales de Cocalmayo - After breakfast, our private transport will take us to the starting point of the Inca Trail for a 4-hour walk through the high forest, rich in flora and fauna. You’ll see various plants, orchids, birds, and other wildlife. We’ll explore the high forest’s mysterious beauty, a biodiversity paradise in the Inca jungle. During our journey, we’ll visit the archaeological site of Inca Carcel, where the Incas punished those who broke societal rules. Our guide will share the history of this site, and we’ll recharge before continuing our trek. We’ll walk along the Inca road to enjoy a nutritious lunch prepared by a local community with native fruits and tubers. After lunch, we’ll head to the hot springs of Cocalmayo to relax our muscles and enjoy snacks and drinks. Once we’ve relaxed, our private transport will take us to our lodging in Santa Teresa.
Santa Teresa - Hydroelectric - Aguas Calientes
Hot Springs (Aguas Calientes) - The next morning, after a hearty breakfast, we’ll go to the nearby zip lining location. Here, we’ll experience various zip lining routes, cross a suspension bridge, and do some light rock climbing. After this activity, the bus will take us to Hidroélectrica for lunch. We’ll relax for a while before continuing our journey to Aguas Calientes. We’ll walk for about 3 hours, encountering beautiful waterfalls, diverse wildlife, and the scenic Urubamba river. Upon arriving in Aguas Calientes, we’ll gather in a local restaurant for a delightful dinner and a briefing about our next excursion to Machu Picchu. After dinner, you’re free to explore Aguas Calientes.
Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu – Cusco
Santuario Historico de Machu Picchu - We’ll start early at 4:00am to begin our climb to Machu Picchu. The trek includes a challenging 1.5-hour ascent to the ancient citadel. Upon arriving at the entrance around 6:00am, we’ll meet our guide for a 2-hour private tour of the Inca citadel. After the tour, you’ll have free time to explore Machu Picchu on your own.
Plaza San Francisco - Based on your bus departure time, provided by the tour guide, we’ll descend to Aguas Calientes to catch the train back to Ollantaytambo.
