Day 1: Cusco, Capital of the Inca Empire & Sacsayhuaman Archaeological Park

Cusco - Begin your adventure with a transfer to the airport for your flight to Cusco, the historic capital of the Inca Empire. Upon arrival, a warm welcome awaits as our team escorts you to your hotel, allowing you to settle in before an afternoon of exploration. In the afternoon, embark on an exclusive city tour rich in history, mystery, and stunning landscapes. The tour starts at the impressive Sacsayhuaman, a ceremonial fortress overlooking the city, where you’ll marvel at the massive stone walls—some exceeding 4 meters in height—crafted with a precision that continues to intrigue historians. The journey proceeds to Q’enqo, a mystical temple carved into a large rock, where ancient rituals were held in honor of the sacred Puma.

Parque Arqueológico Pisac - Experience the calming energy of Tambomachay, a serene site renowned for its sacred fountains believed to offer life and healing. Along the way, enjoy a panoramic view of Puca Pucara, the “Red Fortress,” a former military post with a commanding view of the surrounding valley. As we descend into the city, we visit the Temple of the Sun – Korikancha, once adorned in gold and regarded as the most significant temple in the Inca Empire. Today, the Convent of Santo Domingo stands atop its ruins, merging colonial architecture with ancient heritage in a visually stunning contrast. The day concludes with a visit to Cusco’s iconic Main Square, where colonial charm meets Andean spirit. Step inside the Cathedral, a treasure trove of religious art and home to the historic cross brought by the first Spanish conquerors. An unforgettable day ends with an overnight stay in the enchanting city of Cusco.

Day 2: Sacred Valley of the Incas-Inca & Colonial Town of Pisac & Inkariy Museum

Sacred Valley of the Incas - Today, the Sacred Valley of the Incas welcomes us. We continue to Inca and Colonial Pisac. Discover one of the most stunning archaeological sites in the Sacred Valley atop the mountain, offering views of the colonial town of Pisac. Enjoy a walking tour of the Colonial town and take time to shop at the handicraft market. Next, we head to the remarkable Inkariy Museum, where a delightful lunch awaits. A guided tour of the museum will provide insights into the numerous rooms showcasing cultural representations of pre-Hispanic civilizations of ancient Peru. Overnight in the Sacred Valley.

Day 3: Sacred Valley-Maras Salt Mines, Moray Inca Terraces & Ollantaytambo, a Living Inca Town

Sacred Valley - Our adventure now leads us to the lesser-known treasures of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. First stop: Moray, a site with breathtaking views due to its colossal concentric terraces resembling a coliseum. What was their purpose? The terraces recreated 20 different microclimates, studied to ensure the empire’s agricultural production. We continue to Maras, the ancient colonial salt mines. The contrast of the white pools against the green valley is so striking it resembles a postcard. Buffet lunch follows. In the afternoon, we head to the archaeological complex of Ollantaytambo, where you can observe the Inca stonework techniques. It’s time to catch the train at the Ollantaytambo station. Arrival in Aguas Calientes, where our trained staff will assist you in settling into one of the hotels in Aguas Calientes (now, Machu Picchu town).

Day 4: Machu Picchu, The Lost Citadel

Machu Picchu - Board the bus to ascend the winding road to Machu Picchu, amidst a spectacular view of the Urubamba River and its canyon. The Lost City of the Incas, Machu Picchu, will captivate with its terraces, ceremonial shrines, steps, and urban areas. The energy is palpable. After a guided tour, enjoy lunch at one of the local restaurants. At the scheduled time, return to Cusco and transfer to the hotel.

Day 5: Farewell Day
