• Cusco - Begin the day with a pick-up from your hotel in Cusco’s historic center at approximately 4:00 AM. The guide will welcome the group, provide a brief overview, and then the journey through the mountains to Mollepata will commence.
• Mollepata - Pause in Mollepata to enjoy a warm local breakfast before continuing the trip. This stop also offers an opportunity to stretch, use the restrooms, and acclimate to the altitude before reaching the trailhead.
• SORAYPAMPA - Arrive at Soraypampa (3,900 m / 12,795 ft), the starting point of the hike. The guide will explain the route, altitude, and safety precautions. Optional horses are available for an additional fee.
• Humantay Lake - The hike to Humantay Lake takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours uphill, depending on the pace. The trail is steep in parts due to the altitude, but the guide will allow for rest stops along the way. Horses are available for those who prefer not to walk the entire route.
• Humantay Lake - Spend 40–50 minutes at Laguna Humantay to admire the turquoise waters, take photos, stroll along the shore, or simply relax. The guide will discuss the cultural and natural significance of the lagoon in Andean tradition.
• SORAYPAMPA - The return hike is mostly downhill and takes about 1 hour. The pace is more relaxed, offering views of mountains, glaciers, and open valleys.
• Mollepata - Head back to Mollepata for a well-deserved buffet lunch featuring local dishes, vegetarian options, and hot beverages.
• Cusco - After lunch, the group will return to Cusco, enjoying mountain views along the way.
