DAY 1: AIRPORT PICK-UP AND CITY TOUR

Cusco - • A representative from PERU LIKE will be ready to greet you upon your arrival at the airport and assist with your transfer to the hotel.
• Enjoy a free morning to relax and acclimate.
• At 2:00 PM, you will be picked up from the hotel for a city tour. The first stop is Koricancha (Temple of the Sun) for a 45-minute guided tour, followed by a short drive.
• After a 30-minute drive, we will arrive at Sacsayhuaman (Quechua for “Place where the hawk is satiated”) for a 1-hour guided tour.
• Next, we will visit Qenqo, a mystical ritual center in a rocky outcrop.
• A 15-minute drive will take us to PucaPucara (Red Fort), a military construction.
• The final stop is Tambomachay, known as the Inca’s Bath, where water rituals were performed. We will then return to Cusco, arriving at approximately 7:00 PM.

DAY 2: CUSCO SACRED VALLEY OF THE INCAS - AGUAS CALIENTES (MACHUPICCHU)

Sacred Valley - • At 8:00 AM, we will pick you up from the hotel to begin the Sacred Valley tour. After a 1.5-hour drive, we will reach the Pisaq ruins for a 1-hour guided tour.
• Traveling along the Willka Mayu River, we will arrive in Urubamba, the Sacred Valley’s capital, for a buffet lunch featuring traditional Andean cuisine.
• After lunch, a 30-minute drive will take us to Ollantaytambo to explore the archaeological site, including the Temple of the Sun, Intihuatana, and the Princess Baths, with a 1-hour guided tour.
• Following the tour, we will head to the train station to board the train to Aguas Calientes, where we will stay overnight in preparation for the Machu Picchu visit. (In the evening, the guide will visit the hotel to provide all the details for your Machu Picchu visit.)

MACHUPICCHU

Aguas Calientes - DAY 3: MACHUPICCHU

• Early in the morning, we will take a bus to the Lost City of the Incas (Machu Picchu), a 30-minute journey where the guide will be waiting.
• Upon arrival at Machu Picchu, entry tickets will be shown, and a 2.5-hour guided tour will commence, providing detailed information about the site, followed by free time.
• We will then return to Aguas Calientes for lunch.
• After lunch, we will head to the train station to board the train back to Ollantaytambo.
• At Ollantaytambo station, a Peru Like representative will be waiting with a sign displaying your names to assist with your transfer back to Cusco and to the hotel.

DAY 4: RAINBOW MOUNTAIN

Vinicunca Mountain - • At 4:00 AM, we will begin picking up passengers from their accommodations.
• By 4:45 AM, we will head towards the district of Cusipata. At 6:30 AM, we will arrive in Cusipata for a 30-minute buffet breakfast before continuing our journey.
• At 7:00 AM, we will depart the restaurant for the Wasipata area. By 8:00 AM, we will arrive at the highway and begin the hike to the Mountain of Colors (Winicunca).
• The hike takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes one way, with a 40-minute visit at the Mountain of Colors.
• The return hike takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes to the transportation. By 12:00 PM, we will arrive back at the highway and begin our return to Cusipata.
• At 1:00 PM, we will arrive at the restaurant for a 30-40 minute buffet lunch.
• At 1:40 PM, we will return to Cusco.
• By 3:30 PM, we will arrive back in Cusco, depending on traffic.

This journey through Cusco, Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu, provides a thorough exploration of the most significant sites in Cusco, including Qoricancha, also known as the Temple of the Sun. Further, we’ll tour the Sacred Valley, a favored route in the region of Cusco, which served as a focal point for agriculture, spirituality and politics. The journey wraps up with one of the world’s most amazing train rides, leading to Machu Picchu, regarded as one of the ‘seven wonders of the modern world’.
