- Plaza de Armas Cuzco - The tour will commence with a gathering at the Plaza de Armas. The guide will share details about the tour itinerary, after which the group will walk two blocks to Saphy Street, where Tambo de Montero is located, and the bus will be ready to start this wonderful tour and create an unforgettable experience.
The journey begins in the Historic Center, lasting approximately 40 minutes, where participants will explore significant and historical sites in the city, such as San Francisco Square, home to the Franciscan Church and Convent, one of the city’s oldest religious orders. The Santa Clara Arch, a notable symbol of the Peru-Bolivia Confederation, Garcilaso Street, where the building of the renowned chronicler Garcilaso de la Vega is situated, and Regocijo Square will also be visited. The tour proceeds along Avenida El Sol, the city’s most important central avenue.
- Huayllarcocha - Following this, the group will ascend to the Sacsayhuamán and Puca Pucara archaeological sites, the highest point of the tour. A brief stop will be made for photos from the bus, offering panoramic views, while the guide provides information.
The tour will then proceed to the Huayllarcocha Community, where participants will engage in a coca leaf ritual (lasting 15 to 20 minutes) with an Andean priest.
- Statue of Christ - On the return journey, the tour will pass near the Qenqo archaeological site and proceed to the Cristo Blanco viewpoint (10-15 minutes), where participants can admire the city of Cusco in all its glory and enjoy panoramic views. Finally, the tour will include a visit to a factory for an exhibition of the various qualities of alpaca and vicuña wool, demonstrating the crafts made from these materials (10-15 minutes). This experience will showcase the exceptional quality of alpaca fiber, regarded as one of the finest wools globally, and vicuña, considered the world’s finest animal fiber. At the conclusion of the tour, the bus will drop off passengers on Saphy Street, two blocks from the Plaza de Armas.
