- Qorikancha - Also known as the Temple of the Sun, Qorikancha was a revered indigenous shrine dedicated to the Sun God, the Moon, the Stars, the Rainbow, Thunder, and Lightning. According to historical accounts, visitors had to fast and walk barefoot to enter. The site showcases the Incas’ exceptional lithic technology, with precisely cut hard stones that remain stable despite earthquakes, so finely crafted that a sheet of paper cannot fit between them.
- Sacsayhuaman - Constructed with massive limestone blocks weighing between 25 and 130 tons, Sacsayhuaman features three zigzagging terraces. This expansive site was used for gatherings and celebrations, including the WARACHIKUY and INTI RAYMI festivals.
- Q’enqo - Meaning “labyrinth,” Q’enqo is located one kilometer from Sacsayhuaman. It is a limestone-based structure featuring 500 meters of stone sculptures. Historians believe it was used for astronomical, religious, and embalming studies, including mummification.
- Puka Pukara - Derived from the Quechua words “Puka” (red) and “Pukara” (fortress), Puka Pukara served as a strategic control and surveillance point for access to and from the Imperial city of Cusco. It functioned as a territorial boundary to manage regional divisions and movement.
- Tambomachay - Known as the Inca baths, Tambomachay is a resting place located 9 km from Cusco. Famous for its water fountains, it is also called the waters of eternal youth due to the constant flow of its waters. The Cusco City Tour concludes at the Plaza de Armas.
- Manos De La Comunidad - The Hands of the Community Textile Center is a museum dedicated to South American camelids, showcasing a variety of camelids and Inca textiles. It features 100% baby alpaca and vicuña garments, along with replicas of ancient and contemporary tapestries crafted by Peruvian artists.
