- Sacsayhuaman - Following Coricancha, venture out of the city to the massive Fortress of Sacsayhuaman. The construction of this site remains a mystery, with stone blocks as large as trucks fitting together seamlessly without mortar.
- Q’enco Archaeological Complex - The next destination is Qenco, where visitors can navigate through underground passageways and admire the intricately carved rocks. This limestone formation is adorned with mythical figures and features numerous subterranean passages.
- Puka Pukara - Named from the Quechua words meaning “Red Fortress,” Puca Pucara or Pukapukara derives its name from the red granite used in its construction. This archaeological site includes terraces, walls, aqueducts, squares, and stairways, ensuring a functional urban layout.
- Tambomachay - Tambomachay is an Inca monument dedicated to the worship of water. The remarkable Inca engineering allows water to flow continuously even after five centuries. Chroniclers note that the Inca emperor enjoyed his leisure time here. It is among the most visited archaeological sites in Cusco, alongside Coricancha, Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, and Pucapucara.
