Things you should know - Humberto was such an enthusiastic and informative guide ~ we learned so much! He even used space on his camera to take photos and add them to the group chat. We were grateful the tour team allowed us to bring our luggage since we were stopping and staying in Ollantaytambo. They even dropped us off at a different hotel location than our original pick-up. Things you should know: • bring water • bring cash • bring sunscreen and apply it regularly • bring a light jacket for rainy season or simply to use as a protect and against the sun • bring a small snack ~ you won't eat lunch until around 14:00 • bring hand sanitizer • bring a small pack of tissues (females, to use as toilet paper) • bring ibuprofen and take or prior to the first destination of this is your first or second day in Cusco. Elevation sickness is no joke, no matter how fit and young you are, you'll get winded easily and migraines.

Our favourite tour in South America! - This has been our favourite tour in South America so far! Juan was incredibly knowledgeable about Incan history and all of the sites we visited. His explanations were detailed and he also provided additional imagery to support this. The buffet lunch was also amazing! I would highly recommend this tour with Juan, you will not be disappointed!

Outstanding day trip through the Sacred Valley - What a day! Marco (the driver) and Humberto (the Guide) picked us up at our B&B at 7am and they took us though the Sacred Valley and its beauty. We visited an alpaca/llama farm where we bought a couple of items. Then through the archeological sites in Pisac, Moray, Maras and finally Ollataytambo. Humberto is very knowledgeable, sharing all kind of interesting information and answering to our curiosity. I can't recommend enough this tour!

Fun day out! - Had a fun time touring around the Sacred Valley. My original choice of tour was cancelled last min but the agency really tried to arrange the best option and I'm happy about the subistitute. Our guide Mihael (Miguel?) was fun and informative, and I really liked the salt mine.

Great tour. Had to move to private tour last minute - We booked this tour because we wanted a guide to give us context and history to these sites around the sacred valley. We also like that this tour also allowed us to be dropped off/end in Ollantaytambo for us to continue our journey to Machu Picchu. We did still get to take advantage of these perks but we had to pay for the private tour the day of. We were jet lagged and laying down for bed a little early especially since this tour begins in the morning. I happened to be checking my email one more time before bed and saw the tour was cancelled due to lack of other travelers. I didn’t expect this since I was traveling during high season. I also didn’t expect finding out so late. It was barely more than 12 hours actually and I guess I assumed I would have at least a little more time to determine my plans for the next day. Obviously I’m barely awake and now scrambling to wake back up and come up with a new plan that would get us to Ollantaytambo by tomorrow at the very least. I got ahold of the company and luckily they did answer the phone around 8 or 9pm to give my options to me. Many companies don’t answer their phones especially later in the day and this company did so that really helped the situation be resolved faster. My options were a refund or pay more money for a private tour. We really wanted this itinerary and a way to get to Ollantaytambo so we booked the private tour. The private tour itself was great. Javier was great. We got to see so much of SV and since it was private, we did get to determine how long to stay at each place. If we were ready early, we left. It also was nice that it was a private tour so our transport was a car with a driver; not a bus. The guide was on time. The driver kept the car clean and tidy. The sites on the itinerary had some steep ascends sometimes which I feel like some people won’t realize so make sure you bring good shoes. And layers of clothing because the sun can get strong but some places are pretty windy or higher altitude. I still would recommend this tour as long as you keep in mind that you may need to move to a private one in case no one else books the date. The private guide and driver were great so if you do pick the private option from the start, it’s still a good tour.

Good tour, but I feel cheated. - Disclaimer: tour was good and guide+driver were very professional. I am disappointed because tour office cheated me in a way. A few hours before the tour I was informed thet there are no other participants in the tour and I could only do this privately with extra cost 60$. At this moment I panicked since this was very important and I had no other day for alternative so I said yes. However, it is specifically mentioned that 2 people is sufficient for the tour to happen so I shouldn't have paid the extra cost.
