Day 1: CUSCO – AMAZON PONA LODGE

Manu National Park - The adventure begins with a pickup from the hotel in Cusco at 5:30 AM, in a comfortable private vehicle. The journey will take us through the breathtaking Andean mountains, surrounded by stunning landscapes and charming traditional villages. By 10:30 AM, we will reach Manu National Park, a natural haven renowned for its incredible biodiversity. From this point, we will venture into the captivating cloud forest, where we will hike and discover hidden waterfalls, while observing amazing wildlife and flora, including the cock-of-the-rock, monkeys, orchids, and exotic birds.

Our accommodation will be the Amazon Pona Lodge, a cozy and inviting place where we will spend the night. As night falls, we will embark on a nocturnal jungle excursion, exploring the mysterious trails in search of tarantulas, poison frogs, snakes, and other nocturnal creatures like monkeys and armadillos. This is a unique experience that only the rainforest can provide!

Day 2: AMAZON PONA LODGE – EXPLORATION AND RETURN TO CUSCO

Manu National Park - After a delightful breakfast, we will delve deeper into the jungle to hike the ecological trails, always guided by our expert naturalist. Throughout the day, there will be opportunities to observe various wildlife species such as capuchin monkeys, collared peccaries, squirrel monkeys, and a wide array of birds, including parrots and toucans. Additionally, we will learn about medicinal plants used by local communities.
We will visit a small lake where we will take a wooden raft to explore the habitat of various aquatic species. Here, there will be a chance to see the Hoatzin, a prehistoric bird, along with herons, cormorants, and the delightful kingfisher.
After enjoying lunch in the jungle, there will be an option to take a refreshing swim in the river or try sport fishing.
In the afternoon, we will return to Cusco, concluding our experience in Manu. We will arrive by the end of the day, ensuring a drop-off at the hotel.
