• Ausangate 7 Lagoons Peru - Transportation will collect guests from their accommodation, ideally within Cusco’s historic center, and proceed to the community of Pacchanta, situated at the base of the Ausangate mountain range, at an elevation of 4,200 meters. In this community, a nutritious breakfast will be served (around 7:30 a.m.) before venturing into the Andes Mountains to explore the seven stunning Ausangate lagoons. The initial hike will cover 5 to 6 km.

Upon arrival at the first lagoon, the guide will conduct a coca leaf ritual, inviting participants to join in the ceremony to converse and connect with Mother Earth. The adventure continues with visits to additional lagoons nestled in the heart of the Andes, surrounded by remarkable wildlife and vegetation. The total hike will span 10 km (approximately 5 hours).

The group will return to Pacchanta to relax in the hot springs and later savor a delicious lunch.

The return to Cusco is scheduled for around 7:00 p.m.

The One-Day Tour of Ausangate’s Seven Lagoons is ideally suited for enthusiasts of the natural world with a spare day, or for those visiting Cusco. This journey will offer an opportunity to marvel at rich biodiversity as we travel to the seven lagoons of Ausangate and the sacred mountains, also known as sacred Apus.

Points of interest include: Azulcocha Lagoon, Otorongo Lagoon, Oq’ecocha Lagoon, Pucacocha Lagoon, Pachaspata Lagoon, Alqacocha Lagoon, Q’omercocha Lagoon, and the thermal waters of the Pacchanta community.
