The day begins at 8:45 AM, 10:45 AM, or 12:45 PM with a meeting at our office, located 20 minutes north of Liberia downtown, passing through the quaint villages of Colorado and Curubande.
From Curubande, a 4WD vehicle will transport us 1 km to the entrance of the waterfall trail, where the hike commences.
The waterfall is discreetly nestled on the outskirts of Rincon de la Vieja Volcano. The trail is a 1.7-mile (2.7-kilometer) single track, totaling 6 km round trip. The hike includes some elevation climbs and cave crossings. To reach the waterfall, a 25-meter swim is required.
