The East 4x4 tour is enormously diverse and can cater to every interest!
We will first make a halt at Pico Do Areiro, the island’s three highest peak, elevating to 1811m above ground level.
The view from here is typically awe-inspiring and we usually take a considerable amount of time admiring it.
Following this, we head to the island’s North side, delving into rustic areas like Ribeiro Frio and Faial offering glimpses of Laurissilva forest.
The next stop on our itinerary is Santana.
This is the place where you can spot the renowned ‘A-Frame’ houses, you may have seen in online images or travel literature.
We will encounter numerous farming terraces, interact with local inhabitants and enjoy lunch at perhaps the most scenic restaurant on the island,
Quinta do Furao Hotel.
(Note: The cost for lunch is not included in the tour fare, yet highly suggested)
Post lunch, depending on the time available and group preferences, we generally arrange for a tasting session of wine or rum.
This tour serves as the perfect ‘initial tour’ for anyone who appreciates panoramic views, local culture, delicious food and an enjoyable time!
