Next, visit the One Pillar Pagoda, dedicated to the Goddess of Mercy, renowned as the most unique pagoda globally.
Visitors should dress modestly, covering shoulders to knees, when visiting the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, temples, pagodas, etc.
The Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum is closed on Mondays and Fridays, but visitors can still photograph the Mausoleum and explore the surrounding area.
The Mausoleum is closed for maintenance from June 15th to August 15th annually.
- Vietnam Museum of Ethnology - 10:15 AM: Discover the Vietnam Ethnology Museum to learn about the culture of 54 ethnic groups across Vietnam.
Special Note: On Mondays, the Vietnamese Women’s Museum will be visited instead, as the Vietnam Ethnology Museum is closed.

- Temple of Literature & National University - 2:30 PM: Continue to the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university. The Temple of Literature (Van Mieu Quoc Tu Giam) is a prominent tourist attraction in Northern Vietnam, founded in 1070.
- Hoa Lo Prison - 3:30 PM: Proceed to Hoa Lo Prison, constructed by the French between 1886 and 1901, during Vietnam’s time as part of French Indochina. Known as Maison Centrale by the French, the prison was dubbed “A Hell on Earth” and now serves as a war museum for those interested in Vietnam’s struggle against France.
