So beautiful - Our tour guide, Jurica, picked us up from the cruise terminal. While driving to Plitvice Lakes, he gave us an informative commentary on the history of Croatia and the surrounding area. Upon arrival to the park, he found a convenient parking spot, then we started on our hike. The area is indescribably beautiful. From the color of the water in the lakes, to the sound of the waterfalls, you feel like you’re in paradise. We didn’t want to leave. On our return journey to the cruise ship, Jurica stopped at a grocery store for us so we could pick up some things. He went above and beyond to make this trip the best it could be. If you love the beauty of nature, this trip is for you.

Plitvice Lakes National Park - Eight of us booked a tour to the Plitvice Lakes. We were on the Celebrity Constellation which was in Zadar on May 6. This was easily the best tour of the trip. The scenery was amazing. Jure knows everything about the area, is very personable and his English is excellent. I’ll try to write a brief description. The National Park is about an hour and forty-five minutes from Zadar. The scenery is interesting and beautiful the entire way as you climb up into the mountains, through tunnels and then lush farm land, orchards and vineyards. When you get to the Park, it’s about a 10-minute walk down to the lake. Then a 2-minute boat ride to the other shore, followed by a longer boat ride to the end of the lake. Then it’s perhaps another 10-minute walk to where the waterfalls start. As you go further down into the gorge, the waterfalls get increasingly more impressive, culminating in the Veliki Slap, the tallest waterfall in Croatia. The trail goes right on top of, beside and even through the waterfalls, mostly on boardwalks, so it’s not slippery or dangerous. Finally, you hike up out of the gorge to the bus stop and take the shuttle back to the Park entrance. The entire hike is about 4 miles and there is some elevation, so you should be confident you can do it.

This was an amazing... - This was an amazing experience. Jure exceeded expectations as a guide and driver. Plitvice is something I would highly recommend, it is incredibly beautiful. We went with a stroller, which made it difficult but not impossible. Would highly recommend this tour with Jure.

Top Tier Guide!! - Jurica is a rare jewel amongst tour guides. My family and I have traveled regularly and always use guides, and Jurica rates among the highest. We came in tired, after already traveling for more than a week with a packed itinerary, but Jurica's love for nature and excitement for showing and telling us about his country infused us with energy. We got lucky with weather at Plitvice, and Jurica was thoughtful with which trails and route we go on to get the most of our time there. We also enjoyed a great meal at a local restaurant and Jurica pointed us towards the traditional favorites. In addition to our wonderful day at Plitvice, we spent a day on Pag Island, where we experienced the Bora winds at the old fortress, visited the salt museum, explored the ancient olive trees, and finished with an incredible lunch at Boškinac! These two days were the absolute highlights of our trip! Jure was flexible based on interests and desires, conversation flowed easily, and we simply loved our time with him. If you are in Zadar and want to experience the area, especially in nature, Jurica is the best guide you can find!! Thank you, Jurica, for an amazing two days in litvice and Pag!!

WORTH EVERY PENNY - WORTH EVERY PENNY Such an incredible day out visiting more of the gorgeous country. George was patient kind and very knowledgeable. My mother is intelligent and inquisitive and likes to ask 101 questions and he answered everyone other than how many sheep in Pag! We ended our tour with a 6 course meal, that is like nothing I have ever experienced before. We’re still talking about it. I can only hope you enjoy every minute as much as we did.

Recommended tour guide. Don't hesitate to book. - I would definitely recommend this trip with tour guide Jurica. We were on a cruise ship, group of 5 and he met us directly at the Zadar port making this extremely easy and stress-free. Transportation to the lakes was in an air-con vehicle. He was very easy to contact and flexible with our booking. We found him to be very knowledgeable about the history and geography of Zadar and the lakes. He tailored the pace of the tour according to our time arrangements to get back onto the ship. This meant we did not worry about getting lost in the park and not have to worry about missing the ship, which could have been a possibility without his navigation skills and understanding of the impact on the crowds. He is very friendly, enthusiastic and loves nature which is easy to see why he makes an excellent tour guide. I would recommend booking with him. Thank you Jurica for a fantastic day out in the amazing Plitvice Lakes.

Driving in Croatia! - Wonderful guide who was knowledgeable and great company in the car for 4 hours! Unfortunately, May 1 is Croatia is a holiday and the park was very crowded and we couldn’t get in. I would recommend booking your tickets on line and for the guide to be aware of the holidays. We lost our entire day in Zadar because of our on ship time. However, a day in Croatia is better than a day at work 😊. We were told that we would get a full refund.
