- Pampa de Achala - From our high mountain retreat, the group will embark on a 30-minute trek through the mountains. During this journey, participants will have the opportunity to witness the majestic flight of the Andean condor, the largest bird in South America, renowned for its impressive wingspan and graceful gliding over the mountains. In addition to condors, other fascinating birds such as caranchos, mulberry eagles, and red-headed jotes can also be spotted, all part of the region’s unique ecosystem. Upon returning to the refuge, a typical Serrano lunch will be served, featuring the authentic flavors of the region.
- Pampa de Achala - After lunch, another mountain trek will lead to the Cascade of Los Lampazos, a stunning 20-meter-high waterfall. This natural gem, surrounded by the beauty of the mountains, provides a perfect setting to enjoy the landscape, relax, and connect with nature. The waterfall is a captivating spot for both nature enthusiasts and those seeking tranquility and contemplation. After exploring the waterfall and its surroundings, the group will return to the refuge, where a delightful snack will be served before heading back. Finally, the group will return to the meeting point.
