Don't miss this excellent tour! - My family and I absolutely loved the crocodile river tour with this company. It was excellent and exceeded my expectations. We went on this tour while on vacation in Costa Rica with my family (husband, wife, 9 year old and 12 year old.) On the boat for our tour it was just us and one other couple. Then we had our tour guide and Captain who were both excellent. The boat was covered which provided excellent shelter from the hot sun. I also liked the boat we were on compared to some of the other boats that we saw. It was longer with two rows of two seats along the boat (probably could hold up to 30 people) and it was lower down, so it was easy to see (and touch) the crocodiles! The tour was fantastic. We saw lots of wildlife, flora and fauna. We also saw lots of crocodiles! I didn't realize how up close we would get to them, it was really cool! At one point we were even able to touch the tail of a crocodile. The tour guide and Captain were excellent. They were knowledgeable and kind. They answered all our questions and were funny and entertaining. They also really went above and beyond "calling" and attracting the various wildlife, including the Crocodiles. This tour was a highlight of our entire trip to Costa Rica and I would highly recommend booking with Jose's Crocodile River Tour!

Amazing interactions with Crocodiles! - Really a great tour. Guides were knowledgeable, funny and engaging. We saw lots of crocodiles and other animals. The guides got off the boat and hand feed the crocs which was pretty exciting. We were able to get surprisingly close the crocs as well. Highly recommended.

Wonderful Experience - We really enjoyed this. Our guide’s name was Jesus and the captain/driver of the boat I think was Guido? They were excellent. Jesus was very knowledgeable about all the wildlife we saw- birds, lizards, crocodiles. He told jokes and was funny too/entertaining. The large crocodiles have territories that the guides know where to find them. The feed them in front of you and get them close to the boat for pictures and viewing.

Awesome tour! - We showed up late to our crocodile tour with a group of 10 (including two little ones and a baby), and the crew could not have been more accommodating. They made sure we didn’t miss out and still gave us an incredible experience. We saw so much wildlife- birds, lizards, and some seriously massive crocodiles. The highlight was watching two crocs actually feeding… such a wild, unforgettable moment. Our tour guide and captain, Jesus & Guido, were amazing—so knowledgeable, funny, engaging, and genuinely cared about making the experience special for us. Highly recommend this tour!

Best Crocodile Tour I’ve Ever Experienced! - Hands down the best crocodile tour I’ve ever been on. From start to finish, we were never bored—our guides kept the entire experience fun, engaging, and informative the whole time. We saw crocodiles of all sizes, along with so many different birds, lizards, and other wildlife. What really stood out to me was how interactive the tour was. The guides truly went above and beyond, safely engaging with the crocodiles to give us the best possible views and experience—you can tell they know exactly what they’re doing. Our best experience so far - Jose Crocodile Tours cannot be missed if visiting the Tarcoles River! Our guide was Sergio and our boat captain was called Isaac and they both worked so hard to ensure we saw as much as we could. Numerous birds, crocodiles and other reptiles were seen, Sergio and Isaac’s skill at spotting wildlife was incredible.
