Tamarindo Experience Tours for the win! - This tour was one of a kind! Our guide Moises was so knowledgeable of the area, wildlife, and foliage. We got to see and learn about the mangrove trees in a way only possible by this tour. Then we docked on an island within the river and went on a (flat) hike where we got to see so many crabs and howler monkeys. Truly a great experience!

Best tour to learn about Costa Rican Nature and wildlife!!! - It was a nice experience, I went with a group of friends to the estuary and we have the luck to see a lot of animals like crocodiles, monkeys and a lot of types of birds and also our tour guide Juan Carlos was awesome super kind and friendly 10/10 experience

An unforgettable adventure with an exceptional team - I went with my partner and the tour was absolutely amazing! Our guide, Juan Carlos was fantastic, he had incredible knowledge, and thanks to him we learned so much about the local nature and wildlife. José and Dari, who picked us up at the hotel, were also super friendly and welcoming. Overall, a 10/10 experience that I’d definitely do again. Everyone was so kind to us, and their English was excellent!

Wonderful Experience!! - Juan Carlos is an excellent guide, he made us enjoy every moment of the tour and our driver Dariana, was very friendly, friendly and generous. We are 100% sure we would repeat this wonderful experience again.

Highly recommend for families or couples! - Can’t say enough good things about Tamarindo Estuary Boat Tour! I Contacted the company via WhatsApp and they responded right away. All they required was a name for the reservation and they provided a couple of options for departure times. You have the option of paying by cash or credit card (card is a bit more) but you can pay in USD and/or Colones. No payment or deposit was required until we arrived. We were met right on time by Dariana who was SO friendly, always smiling and her English was excellent!! Dariana took us straight down to our guide Juan Carlos who helped us get on the boat (very easy, couple of steps, anyone can do it!) and off we went! Oh and we were the only three people on the tour, we had the whole boat to ourselves. They didn’t cancel on us, we still went! It is a 2 hour tour, ours left at 1:20pm but there was an 11:20am option as well. Juan Carlos was amazing also. Excellent English, extremely knowledgeable, and he spotted crocodiles and monkeys that we wouldn’t have even noticed. He pulled the boat up close so we could get a good look. He was very kind to our young son and provided us with fresh fruit (cut and prepared fresh! It was delicious) and bottled water during the trip. He provided lots of information on the area, along with what conservation efforts were ongoing, statistics, and other interesting info. I would highly recommend using the tour’s shuttle service to get you to or from the location in Tamarindo. They offered us a ride back for HALF the price of an Uber. We were delighted to see that not only was it a nice big comfortable Ford SUV, but Dariana was our driver! She was a very safe driver and chatting with her about the local area and Costa Rica on the way back was like getting a second tour for the price of one and made the drive back very quick and enjoyable. Flip flops are okay for the trip, the boat is covered so you can sit in the sun or shade, and you don’t need any special equipment but bring your camera! We saw lots of wildlife! Sincere thanks to Dariana and Juan Carlos for making our estuary tour a memorable one. If you choose these folks you’ll be glad you did. Great communication and they offer ATV tours as well. Thanks again!!

What a memorable excursion! - Most outstanding part of our trip! Juan Carlos, our guide, is a certified Naturalist who explained the special treasure of this place. We saw crocodiles and a troup of monkeys! Truly a great experience.

Amazing staff, amazing experience!!!! - Everyone with Tamarindo Xperience was amazing! We took our 85 year old grandmother and they were all so accommodating and kind. The drivers were amazing, the boat guide, Carlos, was so knowledgeable and even took us into the bush to make sure we got to see monkeys! Overall 10/10 experience for cool pictures, delicious pineapple, spotting wildlife and learning so much about the environment. Check them out!!
