Absolutely Spectacular Falls - My husband and I totally enjoyed our hike to Jurassic Canyon waterfalls. We were 2 of 5 who hiked that morning with our guide in the early morning. It had rained a lot even though it was not the rainy season as the cold front from Canada/ US also affected Costa Rica weather so the waterfalls and river were flowing and we met people whose hike was cancelled days later due to the high rivers. It is a steep walk down on a road, then through the forest and rivers to the falls and then steep hike back up on the road. Guide was helpful and pleasant. Gorgeous falls, wish the water would have been a little calmer so we might have jumped in and played a little but way too strong a current, still awesome to see and enjoy.

Breathtaking scenery and an unforgettable sense of adventure - The Jurassic Canyon / Quebrada Gata walk was without a doubt one of the highlights of our time in Costa Rica. The hike itself was stunning, with beautiful water and dramatic scenery throughout. We were a small group of three, my partner, myself, and another traveler from Florida, and although another couple had booked a private tour, we ended up doing most of the walk together, accompanied by two guides. Being the very first group in the canyon that day made the experience even more special. The water had the most incredible blue color early on, and we could really appreciate the peaceful surroundings without other people around. By the time we finished and the sun was hitting the water more directly, the color had changed, which made us even more grateful to have started early. The pace was perfect for our group, as everyone was fit and comfortable with the terrain. We felt like kids climbing and playing. That said, the hike can definitely be challenging in places, so a reasonable level of fitness and agility is important, but the reward is a truly unique and unforgettable experience. The guides were lovely and supportive, helping when needed with river crossings or slippery sections, while otherwise giving us the freedom to fully enjoy the adventure.

Iconic Costa Rica’s Hidden Gem - I still can’t believe I was fortunate to see this place with my own eyes. I booked it last minute with transportation and I’m so grateful they were able to accommodate us. It turned out to be the highlight of our trip to Costa Rica! The hike pace was perfect to see all the beautiful plant life along the way. Guide stopped to show us leaves in the rainforest known as “shy plant” that fold inward after being touched. We relaxed in the turquoise water at the first waterfall which was peacefulness at its finest. The waterfalls are unreal no words can describe how incredible they are. Most important our guide kept us safe every step of the way. Don’t think twice and add this guided hike to your visit to Costa Rica. Also, I highly recommended booking with them you will get the best experience!

Careful - This is a very hard "hike". Scrambling over rocks, climbing down and up steep cliffs, a walk uphill almost an hour long. The views and experience is super cool but this is work, hard work. I also question if access to the area is even legal. The guides were pretty poor.
