Surfing is super fun!! - This surfing lesson was super fun! I felt really safe the entire time and I started catching waves quickly. The group was very small and the instructors were incredibly attentive. My class was with Andres and he was fantastic. He has such a positive energy and really knows how to teach beginners. His instructions were clear and simple, and he never rushed me or made me feel pressured. You can tell he genuinely loves what he does. He celebrated every small success and gave helpful feedback after each wave. By the end of the session, I felt proud, confident, and totally hooked on surfing. White Sands Surf School was organized, affordable, and right on a perfect beach for learning. If you’re debating where to take a lesson in Tamarindo—this is the place. Andres is the best!

So much fun! - My friends and I booked a group lesson with Andres at White Sands Surf School, and it was absolutely fantastic. Andres has the perfect personality for teaching—calm, friendly, and super motivating. He made sure everyone in our group, no matter their skill level, got personal attention. What I really appreciated was how focused he was on technique and safety while still keeping the lesson fun and laid-back. Within the first hour, we were all catching waves and laughing nonstop. He even gave us great local tips about the area after the lesson. This was hands down one of the best activities we did in Tamarindo.
