This tour is designed for the first time traveler to the beautiful island of Roatan. It includes pick-up from your cruise ship port, airport, or hotel room, as well as a narrated tour of the west side of the island, where you’ll find popular attractions. Typical itinerary includes: Mahogany Bay, French Harbor, West End, West Bay, Tabyana Beach, Butterfly Gardens, Gumbalimba Monkey Park, Iguana Farm, Carambola Botanical Garden, Anthony’s Keys Resort (entrance fee to activities not included).

Best Company To Book A Tour With - My 2 sisters visiting from The Netherlands, my husband and me had the Best time in Roatan, this was the 5th time we booked a tour via Viator, 2nd time in Roatan. Super easy online booking which you can cancel up to 24 hours before.
Our tour guide was Garfield and he was amazing! Since we had been to Roatan before and seen most of the touristy places he took us to the other side of the island, he drove slowly so we could take pictures and stopped if we wanted to get out. He then took us to a little port where a friend of his had a boat and we did a 45 minute boat tour through the mangroves and had beautiful sight seeings from the water. It was excellent. Garfield is The Best! Very knowledgeable and he was able to answer all the questions we had.
I highly recommend booking this Tour via Viator, super safe, fun and cheap. And they will make sure you will get back to the ship in time!! ❤️❤️GARFIELD❤️❤️

5 stars ! - Jordan was an amazing Tourguide ! We had such a beautiful day in Roatan at our own pace . The tour wasn’t rushed and we got back with more than enough time to spare. I would recommend this tour to anyone on a cruise who wants to enjoy all that Roatan has to offer! Thanks again JJ for a great day !

Awesome tour and guide on Roatan! - Amazing tour, so easy to book online, I appreciated the delayed payment, and our guide Jose made everything perfect. We wanted to go to an animal sanctuary, chocolate factory, and the brewery. We wanted to see beautiful sites, and try baleadas, beyond that we wanted Jose’s recommendations and he didn’t disappoint!

Highly Recommend This Excursion!!! - Best Excursion! Reading previous reviews, I kinda knew we'd struggle to find our guide. I followed directions and went outside the port area. A little confusion at first with many guys talking to us. Finally our SUV arrived. I think our driver was Yakira. She was super nice, knowledgeable about the her country and willing to show us around the island. We opted to avoid touristy areas and wanted to see the countryside, various homes, areas in town. She even took us to inexpensive shopping areas and great photo spots. We loved our time with Yakira.

We visited Roatán on... - We visited Roatán on March 10, 2026 as a group of four and booked a private tour with Roatan Adventure Tours. Our driver and guide, Garfield, made the entire day a fantastic experience from start to finish.
Garfield was fun, engaging, and incredibly accommodating. He made sure the tour was interactive and tailored to what we wanted to see and do, which made the experience feel very personal rather than rushed or scripted. Throughout the day he shared information about the island and kept the atmosphere relaxed and enjoyable.
Our tour included several great stops around the island. We visited a chocolate factory, a local rum producer, and an animal adventure location, along with multiple sightseeing spots that gave us a great view of Roatán’s beauty and culture. Garfield also recommended a great place for lunch where we enjoyed delicious local cuisine.
One thing we especially appreciated was how well Garfield managed the timing. We had plenty of time at each stop, never felt rushed, and he made sure we were comfortably back at the ship with plenty of time before departure.
If you're visiting Roatán and want a flexible, fun, and well-organized private tour, we highly recommend Roatan Adventure Tours—especially if you’re lucky enough to get Garfield as your guide. He truly helped make our day on the island memorable.

Great day in Roatan - Orie was a fantastic guide for us. He took our group of 9 around Roatan to sites that we specifically requested and filled us in local culture on this beautiful island! One of the best excursions we’ve done!

10 outta 10 - Absolutely Amazing! It was the first time I booked excursions on my own instead of thru the ship. We were a group of 10, and I was nervous about it. We booked a van for the day to basically do whatever we wanted, and I will tell you we have a full and wonderful day. The van was nice, and the AC amazing. Our tour guide was the best. We had terrific once in a lifetime experiences and got back to the port with plenty of time. I will be booking with them again next time we go to Roatan, and highly recommend this company for your excursions.

Beautiful day - Nice day with Kitchener, our guide.
Despite a flat tire, he was able to offer us the park of monkeys during the repair.
I also liked the butterfly park and the time at the beach.
The suggestion of the chocolate factory came from him. My grandson enjoyed it.

City tour and Big French Key - My husband and I did the north and south city tour ending at The Big French Key. Wanessa our guide was very knowledgeable about the whole country. She was funny and sang very well, we all loved her. The tour was amazing, very scenic and the beach provided a light lunch. Big French Key was breathtaking,wish we could have stayed longer. Highly recommended and go find Wanessa. She is SUPER !
