Cowichan Bay Whale Watching - Cowichan Bay is absolutely gorgeous. Beautiful unspoiled views providing habitat for porpoises, harbor seals, and a multitude of birds. We saw three Orcas, multiple times on our trek. The boat is a zodiac, which was fast and smooth. The provided freezer suits were definitely needed as the temps drop on the water and the wind whips by as you travel. Kate was a great Captain!

Fabulous whale watching tours - We had a fabulous trip out with Tilly our guide and were lucky enough to see humpbacks and Orca’s. Tilly was really knowledgeable and respectful of these wonderful creatures and clearly loved sharing her knowledge! Would definitely recommend these tours, we were made really welcome from the moment we stepped through the door! .

Family trip to remember - We had such a wonderful family adventure. From the minute we walked into office we new we were going to have a great day. The office was all ready for us and explained how the trip was going to work. We got all signed in, issued our floater suit and then we met our Guide Taz. Taz is awesome, she led us to the boat and got us into the boat safely. As were motoring out Taz gave us a safety tour of the boat and equipment. Then we off. (These boats are wild, lots of fun.) Taz showed us lots of wild life, eagles, seals and pups and even wild dear on an island. Yes, most important we saw whales. This day the hump backs were doing the show. They were wild to watch. Taz is so knowledgeable about the whales and wild life. When we got home we realized what a special day this was from all the photo's and videos. This going to be a day my family talks about for years. Thanks Taz and the team.

Whales and Seals - Other than running into a bit of rain on the way back , it was an awesome tour. Our guide, Taz, recommended looking for humpbacks. She took us to where they were, and we spent a part of the trip with whales all around our boat. We also went to a small island full of harbor seals

Amazing!! - I had the most amazing time whale watching with this company! We had captain Kate who was very informative, helpful (struggled with the zip on my suit lol), and funny. We saw Biggs killer whales which was just the best, one of them popped up very close to us unexpectedly which absolutely blew my mind. We then went on to see some humpback whales and sea lions. The weather was fantastic and the whole experience from beginning to end was just fabulous. I have been whale watching before but from Victoria and I can honestly say, this was by far the best experience leaving from cowichan bay, I will definitely book from here again! Just a huge thanks to the team! Made my birthday a very memorable one!

Dissappointed for the money we paid and time spent whale watching. - Booked on Wednesday June 17, 2026. Whale watching was to be the highlight of our vacation on Vancouver Island. I was sadly disappointed that we booked the 4 hour trip out of Cowichan Bay. Of that 4 hour trip, 1.5 hours of it was a boat ride to the actual location of where the whales were, which only provided us approximately 30 to 45 mins watching the whales, followed by another 1.5 hour boat ride back to the start location. We travelled so fast we were not able to see any other wild life, but a seal bobbing in the water as we zoomed by. What I learned was to ensure that one books with a company that has the closest sightings so that you may spend MOST of your time watching and seeing the whales, than travel time.
