Liberties - lively, lovely and uplifting 😀 - We had the most wonderful tour this morning with Catherine. She was very knowledgeable, personable and gave us an insider’s view to a part of Dublin that is steeped with history and pride in the local community. We highly recommend a tour with Catherine Anne and Colette

The Dublin you need to see. - An excellent walking tour of The Liberties area of Dublin. Our tour guide Catherine was very knowledgeable and passionate about the area and its history. Catherine was a character herself which made for a great tour. We weee joined on our tour by a nice couple from Switzerland and a solo traveller from France. A wonderful way to see the real people and places of this great city and this particular part of Dublin. Would highly recommend this walking tour to anybody visiting the city, you won’t be disappointed.

Informative and unique tour led by an amazing local - you’ll feel like an insider. - In Our Shoes is the perfect name for this tour. Our outstanding guide Anthony took us on a walk through The Liberties showing us nooks and crannies of the neighborhood that we would never have seen with a guide who was not from the area. Because he grew up there, he had incredible stories - not only of the area’s history but also of his personal history - that brought the area to life. Anthony covered history from hundreds of years ago and also recent history and gave us a good sense of how the neighborhood has changed and continues to change. I loved hearing about the stories of the women of the area and the impact that they have had. In so much of Irish History, the women are invisible. But not here - Anthony spoke of the importance and leadership that women had in The Liberties. While we were on a trip with other couples, the tour would be great for families too. The terrain is flat without many stairs. I loved the social component to the company - money from the tours goes back into the community. I would highly recommend this tour and suggest that others prioritize it highly!

Wonderful and different perspective on Dublin - Anthony, our guide, is a born and bred Liberties local. Even more than his local knowledge and the stories that connect history to present day reality (and challenges), his passion for the people and the community shines through. He gave us a perspective that would be difficult to get from a guidebook or travel blog. Highly, highly recommend for anyone who wants to see and feel a different part of the city, away from shopping and touristy areas. And proceeds from the tour support community programs.

Dublin Liberties, hidden gems. - An amazing tour of the old part of Dublin city. So informative and interesting. Definitely whet the appetite to explore more of the Liberties and its rich history. Our guide Adrienne was a local and she made the tour so enjoyable even in the rain. Highly recommend even for Dubliners like us.

The streets came alive! - We were so fortunate to have a private guide, ( the perishing cold kept others away?!) but Adrienne was a wonderful storyteller & walked us around sharing the fascinating history & stories of the Liberties. Despite the cold, we didn’t notice the 90 minutes fly by as Adrienne peppered the local streets with characters & anecdotes of bygone days & then brought us up to date with the Liberties’ local celebs! A wonderful & enjoyable tour that brought the ordinary stones & streets alive. Thank you Adrienne!

Local guide - Nice lady with warm, friendly approach. We didn’t go far and it could have been a little more fast paced. There were not many of us which was good. And it was nice to hear from a local

A fascinating, authentic tour with a very enthousiastic knowledgeable guide - We were only with the three of us doing this tour. Two of us arrived a bit later as both our arrival flights were delayed, but fortunately we could catch on and learned a lot about the Liberties quarter in Dublin. Adrienne gave us a very good insight and talked at lot. We could ask her all kinds of questions which she tried to answer as good as possible. Adrienne gave us a very vivid image of this part of the town about its history, and some notorious (terrifying sometimes) characters. I'm glad we could book this tour so late still !
