This magnificent natural gem encompasses the Barva and Cacho Negro volcanoes, stretching from Alto de la Palma in the north of Moravia Canton to the La Selva Protected Zone in Puerto Viejo de Sarapiqui.
The park reaches a maximum elevation of 9,534 feet (2,906 m) above sea level at the summit of Barva Volcano, with temperatures ranging from a minimum of 37.4°F (3°C) to a maximum of 75.6°F (24°C). The park’s extensive altitudinal gradient results in varied precipitation, from 8.2 feet (2,500 mm) on the slopes facing the Central Valley to 18.8 feet (5,734 mm) on the Caribbean slope.

Upon arrival at the operations center, the excitement begins with a zipline canopy tour.
Participants will enjoy 9 exhilarating zip lines nestled within the Sarapiquí forest, culminating in a 900-foot cable ride across the magnificent Sarapiquí River canyon.
