• Province of Puntarenas - Before reaching San Lucas Island National Park, there will be a detour to try and spot dolphins in the Gulf of Nicoya. If the tide is low, part of a large sunken ship called “Fella” may be visible. • Isla San Lucas - Upon arrival at Isla San Lucas National Park, a park ranger will greet visitors and guide them to the awning for instructions and attendance. Visitors should carry an ID or passport, either as a photo on their mobile device or physically, to gain entry to the National Park. A certified guide will then lead a tour through the cells of what was once Costa Rica’s most famous prison, where the writer José León Sanchez began writing his renowned novel “The Island of Men Alone.”
