The trail leads through the rainforest and alongside the Celeste River, where one can witness one of nature’s most fascinating phenomena. After admiring this stunning site, continue hiking to the confluence of two brooks, where clear water transforms into a divine turquoise hue, creating Rio Celeste. This remarkable sight is a result of a chemical reaction from volcanic minerals, unique to this location. After the hike, proceed to another section of the river outside the park to swim in the blue waters! This area is often home to sloths and other wildlife. This hike offers a wonderful opportunity for healthy exercise and unforgettable experiences in one of Costa Rica’s most unique hidden treasures.
