Best prices and experience - Truly loved the experience with Magdani!! Highly recommend him for all the activities and tours. Visited Costa Rica RIU Guanacaste resort with my husband, mother in law and two daughters for 8 days and had the best experience in my life! Magdani helped us with booking Jet-skis, horse riding on the beach, zip lining (canopy) suggested a near by beach called Conchal which was stoning, bought us chips to give to the monkeys which my family enjoyed so much and even bought local mangoes for my husband to try, which they are called mangas over there. If you’re looking to have fun, learn about Costa Rica, for the best prices search go ask for MAGDANI, he is the person you MUST book all the tours you need! Amazing - This tour was an amazing experience! From the beautiful site seeing to the friendly and accommodating staff I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Costa Rica. The tour included many different fun, and adventurous activities, and also provided lunch. The staff was also very patient and let us take our time at each location and did a very good Job at explaining all the sites and history of Costa Rica. Marco Polo 10 out of 10 I recommend!!!!

Stole Sandals while on excursion - Marco and his crew stole my sandals and said they would return them the next day. I tried reaching out to him but he would return respond.

Waste of time - These guys didn't even show up. Don't waste your time booking. Thankfully we didn't hand over any money up front. We were asked to meet up at 7:30am. Eventually a guy on a motorbike turned up, made a phone call and then tried to charge us more for the tour to go ahead.

Scammed, did not deliver and did not give deposit baxk - Met Marco at the RIU, seems legit but he was not! We booked a catamaran for 13 guests paid a 300.00 deposit as requested on cash. He gave me a receipt that clearly said catamaran. We were so excited about the catamaran as we were celebrating birthdays. The day of tour Marco shows up with a small sailboat that could not safely accommodate us all. He said that the catamaran had issues which he should have told us prior. We requested refund of 300.00 to which he said he would bring to the resort in the morning. Needless to say Marco went Missing and now not answering calls nor did he return the money. I don’t recommend.

Scam and bad customer service - I had a problem with this service. First I contact Marco for information on Catamaran Tours, and he sends me the information, so far everything is fine, he responds quickly. I receive the information and I have the query about facilities for a person with mobility problems, it tells me that there is no problem. Process to deposit to secure the field. $25 per person. He doesn't send me a receipt or anything but he gives me the tour information the next day. Upon arriving at the boat, they first tell us that it is not the same trimaran that they had indicated to us and that it is due to scheduled maintenance. Which has always been like this. Which indicates that Marcos lied to us, when I contacted him he responded that he would refund the money in the afternoon. Well that didn't happen. I recommend NOT using their services, it may be that if everything goes well your tour will not be a problem but even the slightest inconvenience will be a waste of your money. These types of scams are based on the fact that tourists are not going to file the respective complaints. I recommend you contact the boats directly and NEVER use intermediaries like Marcos. His last message was requesting the information for the deposit and later he did not respond again

Scam - Marco is a scammer. Do not pay in advance for anything, he will take your money and vanish. No genuine tour or service requires payment or deposit before. If staying at the RIU property, purchase your tours from the group on the property not on the beach.

Horrifying Experience with Marco Polo Adventure CR - Dear All: This was a truly terrible and dangerous choice. I recommend that Tripadvisor do a better job of vetting these companies. We booked and paid for this trip. The day before the tour (actually a mere 9 hours before), at 10 pm. I receive a cancellation of the tour. We had no other option with this late cancellation. I was told I would be refunded, but I am looking for the substantial refund. The reason I was told for the cancellation was bizarre. I was told that the bank accounts of Marco Polo Adventure CR had been frozen by the Costa Rican Government. Apparently, it involved a criminal investigation of money (too much money) in the account, we were told. While that sounds like money laundering, we do not know why the Government would seize bank accounts. Also Marco Polo Adventure could not accept credit card transactions even those that had completed, like ours. So Marco Polo Adventure said I would have to pay cash for the tour and that I would be refunded the credit card transaction. At that point, I was forced to make a decision: go on a tour with someone perhaps under Government (criminal) investigation by giving them cash (before my refund was received) or deprive us of enjoyment of a tour. We chose the latter. How can we deal with a company sinking in bankruptcy or insolvency because the Government had seized their accounts for too much money (suspicious activity) in the bank account. Tripadvisor, shame on you for not making sure these companies are safe, solvent, and reputable. Marco Polo Adventure CR, shame on you for waiting until the last minute to cancel the tour and then demanding cash to be able to continue the tour. Both of you had only your own self interest, leaving us to risks, dangers, and peril. Tripadvisor, you have to remove Marco Polo Adventure from your offering because they are in trouble with the Government. Even if the issue gets resolved, the ethics of the situation are horrible. You cannot trust this, and it could have been worse if we paid cash. Worried about solvency, no doubt our safety would have been further compromised. Buyer beware. This is a very bad situation and could have been a worse tragedy.
