Waterfall and. Volcano tour - Mauricio ( tour guide) and Hymie ( driver ) gave us an excellent tour! They stopped spontaneously to show us animals they spotted a long side the road ( sloth, monkeys, toucans). They had a special telescope to help us see the animals. Hymie was a very good and safe driver. Mauricio was very informative as a guide. We all really enjoyed the tour and it was the highlight of our trip so far.

Fun for Family of Four - This was a great experience! We started at the waterfall which due to recent rains, was incredible!! Swimming was so fun with so many fish! We had lunch which was delicious in a beautiful place. We had rain and a lot of fog at the volcano so visibility was low, but still fun. Our guide made sure we saw monkeys and sloth along the way. My husband and I had our sons 8 and 2.5 for the tour. Our 8 yr old had no issues with any activities. We had our youngest in a backpack carrier we brought for the hiking and stairs - couldn’t have done it otherwise. I requested a child car seat when booking and it was ready to go upon arrival. The timing of everything was perfect. No long van rides. Our kids also loved the lunch and they even had some games for them to enjoy. Perfectly run tour company, always thinking ahead and putting safety first. This was a great way to experience the rainforest. Highly recommend.

Great Volcano Hike - Issac and Minor were great guides on our volcano hike. Very knowlegable and friendly. Love that these are small group tours, much more personalized! Views were amazing!

An amazing experience and great memories - What an amazing trip. Mauricio (our guide) structured the trip in a way that engaged the adults and the kids. Visited the Arenal volcano first, followed by the La Fortuna waterfalls. The highlight of the tour was the lunch at their private cafe. Lunch was easily the best food we had in Costa Rica. We loved it so much that we noted down the recipe! Hopefully it comes out just as delicious at home. Thanks for helping us make some great memories on the tour.

Unforgettable day - Incredible day, our guide Mauricio was extremely knowledgeable and great company. He really knew the area well and was so passionate about the amazing wildlife he showed us. The meal at the end of the trip at the family farm was delicious and one of the best of our trip so far. Can't recommend them enough, we wished we had the time to do more activities with them.

High value half day trip with yummy lunch! - Our guide Francisco was very knowledgeable and kept our day relaxing. We did not feel rushed and had a great trip to the waterfall and volcano. A highlight was the personalized lunch at their headquarters which offered an authentic, simple and delicious meal with fresh juice and dessert. Highly recommend.

Our Guide 'Mau," Made all the Difference! Fantastic Tour! - This 2 in 1 day trip was super fantastic! Not only are the waterfalls and the Arenal volcano spectacular sites to see, but our guide "Mau,"(with Rain Forest Explorers), made our day Amazing! Mau was so much fun to spend the day with! I learned so much about La Fortuna and Arenal from the plant and animal life to the community and history of the ever majestic changes of the volcanoes. Mau is super knowledgable, had really fun stories to share and has a genuine love for his work in sharing the greatness of this area. The hike on the lava rock in the pouring rain was a great highlight! :) Along with the most incredible view of the entire Arenal volcano! Mau also took the most incredible closeup photos with his telescope of the most amazing animals we saw! The best pictures of our trip! Mau also took us to an off the beaten path family restaurant for lunch where they served fresh organic farm to table really delicious food. That was a very special touch to the tour. We felt very safe with Mau and he took incredible care of us that day! If you're taking this tour, ask for Mau to be your guide. It's incredibly worth it!

Amazing Tour with Mau and driver Minor - I did trips over two days with Mau the guide and Minor as a driver. Day one down 500 steps to La Fortuna waterfall, it was wonderful and at a pace to suit the whole group, the swim in the waterfall waters was amazing. We then had a fantastic lunch with the Rodriguez family which was fabulous followed by a trek around the base of the Arenal volcano. The next day Mao took us to The Tenorio volcano to look at the impressive and beautiful blue waters of the waterfall and then we did an amazing nature walk. The whole experience was so enjoyable and Mau shared his impressive knowledge of the local wildlife with us. I would recommend this company 100%.

Amazing Experience with Rain Forest Explorers! - We had an unforgettable time with Rain Forest Explorers on the Waterfall swim and Volcano hike, and our guide, Isaac, made it even better! Waterfall/Lunch: We kicked things off at the waterfall, where the views were stunning, and we had time to swim and change. Afterward, we had lunch at a private restaurant specifically for those that book this tour, which was not only beautifully presented but also delicious. I went with the chicken, which I highly recommend, but they also offered a fish and vegetarian option that looked just as appetizing. They served hibiscus juice and coffee too, and even gave us dessert! And while the banana bread/bread pudding hybrid was not my favorite, it was still a nice addition! The lunch spot also had an amazing view, and we even got to watch birds feeding nearby while we ate. Volcano Hike: The volcano hike was an incredible experience, made even better by Isaac’s impressive knowledge of the history, wildlife, plants, and trees. He explained everything so clearly and in such an engaging way that we didn’t want it to end. He was also insanely impressive at spotting wildlife and plants that we would have completely missed (and from crazy distances, too!), and his genuine excitement to share these discoveries made the experience even more enjoyable. We would even stop along the drive if he spotted something awesome! Isaac didn’t just have keen eyes for nature, but for photography as well. He helped capture amazing photos for us, always making sure to get the perfect shot, and was happy to help anyone else we saw along the trail as well. It was also clear that he has a deep passion for the environment as he spotted and cleaned up trash along the trail. We were also provided with walking sticks, plenty of water, and even bug spray when I realized I forgot mine! We were kept on track with the schedule but we never felt rushed. There was plenty of time to enjoy the hike and take in the stunning views. Overall, the day was absolutely perfect. If you’re looking for an adventure that’s fun, informative, and full of heart, this is it. Highly recommend!
