Great experience- a little rough on back and neck - This was a fantastic experience! They covered historic buildings and the history and genetics of the wild horses! We saw tons and the guide knew all their names and family groups. I studied genetics so it was fascinating hearing about how these horses were intentionally bred. Amazing and unforgettable experience! The only downside was the ride was very rough. We are able bodied but we had back and neck pain. My parents asked if they should go and I advised a different vehicle as I think it would have been too much. But Al around great way to see that part of the island and learn the history!

Cold fun in December - It was cold but our guide had blankets for us, which other tour companies did not have. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the area, local wildlife and the horses. He also had a good sense of humor. On the last tour of 2025 we were able to see many horses, deer and dolphins. It was a great trip! If you’re going on the tour in December bring winter gear!

A must do in the OBX - Our second time taking this tour with this company, 10 years apart, and it was just as great as we remembered. The trucks are comfortable and the guides are very knowledgeable and nice. We saw a lot of horses this time and even had one jump the fence and come up close and personal. We will definitely be back!

Had a blast! - Craig was an amazing guide. The tour was super informative. Fun. And we literally went on every "side road" to find as many horses as possible. We found a ton.

Awesome!!! We got to see 25-horses - Great tour guide, very informative and full of knowledge on the horses and area. It was a delight to see the horses in their own environment. An added bonus when we saw six of them on the beach, our guide noted this was unusual this time of year.

Chilly as expected, rough guide - Our tour guide was like a speed racer! Was hard to look for horses when she was going so fast. When we did see horses she didn’t even see them and they were right in front of us!
