Off the usual paths into the forest! - We really loved our tour! Karen is so enthusiastic about nature and you can really feel her passion for it during the tour. Since the group size is really small, you can fire away all your questions. In addition to this all her explanations taught us much about the forests and its history. We saw many animals on our walk, including spider monkeys, a snake, little bats hiding in cut palm leaves and many many beautiful birds and insects. Doing this tour you get to see a side of nature without concrete or wooden paths, just forest grounds and I have never felt so close to nature before. The traditionally made lunch was also so delicious and a cherry on top of a wonderful activity. Thank you Karen for the amazing tour!

Best 6 Hours Ever In Nature - A 4 hour walk thru primary and secondary forest at the edge of Corcovado. Karen, the guide, not only revealed the riches of the flora and fauna of the area but explained the extraordinary history of the forest and its role in the ecological movement in Costa Rica. We met two of the land owners who preserve the land along the edge of Corcovado and maintain trails on their own land for exploration. Afterwards we had a delightful lunch prepared by one of the hosts. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to see and learn about the wild life that makes Costa Rica unique in this hemisphere. We saw a chestnut-backed ant bird, a black cheeked-ant-tanager bird, and other exotic birds, extraordinary spiders and ant colonies and other bugs, spider monkeys, fascinating ferns and trees. If you visit Drake Bay do not miss this.
