We’ll provide an overview of the best activities and attractions in Copenhagen. - Amagertorv - Amagertorv, now part of the Strøget pedestrian zone, is often described as the most central square in central Copenhagen, Denmark. Second only to Gammeltorv, it is also one of the oldest, named after the Amager farmers who, in the Middle Ages, came to town to sell their produce at this site.
- Amalienborg Museum - Amalienborg Palace is a must-visit for anyone interested in royal history and the life of Denmark’s royal family, who still reside in the palace.
- Rundetarn - The Round Tower - The 17th-century tower and observatory Rundetaarn, or the Round Tower, is the oldest functioning observatory in Europe.
When Christian IV built the tower, Denmark was renowned for its astronomical achievements, thanks to the astronomer Tycho Brahe. After his death in 1601, the King wanted to continue Brahe’s research, leading to the creation of the Round Tower.
Though scientists have long since departed, the observatory is still used by amateur astronomers and many visitors. The observatory is surrounded by an outdoor platform offering a magnificent view of the old part of Copenhagen.
- Christiansborg Slot - Christiansborg Palace is a palace and government building on the islet of Slotsholmen in central Copenhagen, Denmark. It serves as the seat of the Danish Parliament, the Danish Prime Minister’s Office, and the Supreme Court of Denmark.
- Church of Our Lady - Copenhagen Cathedral - The Copenhagen Cathedral, in its current form, is a modest building in Neo-Classicist style designed by architect C.F. Hansen. The foundation stone was laid by King Frederik VI in 1817, and the solemn consecration took place on Whitsunday 1829.
However, the site of the present cathedral has housed a church since Bishop Absalon, the founder of Copenhagen, built a small chapel on the premises. The original church was erected at the town’s highest point around 1200.

Stroeget - Strøget is Copenhagen’s main shopping street and one of Europe’s longest pedestrian streets, featuring a wide range of shops, from budget-friendly chains to some of the world’s most luxurious brands.
The 1.1-kilometer stretch covers the streets Frederiksberggade, Nygade, Vimmelskaftet, and Østergade, running from City Hall Square to Kongens Nytorv square. - Copenhagen City Hall - City Hall Square is a public square in the heart of Copenhagen, Denmark, located in front of the Copenhagen City Hall. Its large size, central location, and connection to the city hall make it a popular venue for various events, celebrations, and demonstrations.
