A good mix of history, site seeing and food - Viana started on time and we kept a steady pace, starting in Cocabanoa area, going to center city, the historic district and returning to Cocabanoa. Carnival was going on so we saw a lot of local parades. We visited the main tourist sites. We had to make some changes in the food stops due to carnival and my wife’s lactose intolerance. Viana over came the obstacles and continued on with a positive attitude. Couldn’t not had a better guide.

Best Food Tour With Lots of Walking in Rio! - We were so impressed with our tour guide Heloisa! She was super friendly, upbeat and very attentive and knowledgeable - and she totally made our day! Cannot say enough good things about her - her English was impeccable, she was a great listener as well and was able to answer all of our questions! This was a wonderful food tour for someone who does not want to feel “big and bloated” at the end - it was the perfect mix of sampling great Brazilian foods at all the local places while getting great exercise! Extra appreciation for Heloisa showing us how to use the subway, which was very useful! 10/10 will book with this company again!

Food and History tour - Camila provided an exceptional food tour. Not just the food that locals eat and drink but a history of Rio that was entertaining. She adjusted the experience to meet our expectations. She made sure we saw the special areas of Rio. I highly recommend Camila to any person visiting Rio whether a foodie or not.

Recommended for those looking to indulge in Rio's gourmet food and sightseeing. - While enjoying Rio's gourmet cuisine, we were shown around the historic buildings and other tourist attractions, and were able to enjoy the scenery from the observation spot for a day. Our guide Camila is a knowledgeable and fluent English-speaking guide who is in Rio de Janeiro and looking for an English-language tour. Food, drinks, sweets, etc. were all recommended and recommended by locals, and we enjoyed them deliciously. The couple who accompanied us were pleasant, friendly and very nice people.

A Fruitful Day Exploring Rio (Must-Do!!) - It was exactly the trip I was looking for and it turned out to be the most fruitful day in Rio. We (a group of 4) were guided by 2 wonderful tour guides, Camila and Michael, who are both very knowledgeable and helpful. Together, we explored the city on foot, tasted a variety of local foods, visited different buildings and local places, and even experienced a charming tram ride. Overall, it was an meaningful journey and a must-do for anyone who wishes to connect with the history, culture, and everyday life of the people in Rio.

What a way to see and taste the real Rio! - We had an amazing tour with Camilla on our first full day in Rio. It was packed with unreal food and drink, and was conducted at a nice pace. We never felt rushed but more so treated like special guests. The tour was adapted by Camilla when she learned what else we were doing to ensure we didn't miss some must see sites that aren't in the standard plan. She went over and above. Highly recommend - excellent :-)

More Culture than Food - We had a great day in Rio and saw many areas of the city. E g many sights in the city center, Santa Teresa, Lapa and the famous stairs. We really appreciated the information about the culture and the daily life in Rio. We do food tours all over the world and this one comes long down the list when it comes to food (1 sandwich to share for 2, 1 acai smoothie shared with 4 People, 1 coffee per person, 1 icetea for 5 people, 1 empanada for 2 persons, 1 cake per person, beer, 1 new type of bread with ham and cheese inside, fejoada + arrancini for late lunch (see comment below), 1 caparina per person). Late in the afternoon we asked if we would stop for lunch - and the guide said there would be no lunch just small bites along the way. What we will give a big credit for is that our guide took our input and gave us a very late lunch (Fejoada + arrancini) at a really cosy restaurant in Santa Teresa. Therefore my recommendation is that you set your expectations right before you go on the tour - after all it was very expensive compared to the food we got. So go for the culture and walk around in Rio.
