Join us for a day-long journey into history at Petropolis, the city of the Emperor. This place, named after Brazil’s Emperor, is known for its deep ties with the Imperial Brazilian Family. They were drawn to its cool climate and soon, it turned into their summer haven.
With a pick up from your hotel, we shall begin our 2-hour travel to Petrópolis. A stopover at Casa do Alemão, a traditional deli with snacks inspired by European cuisine, might be on the itinerary. Don’t forget to discuss the day’s plans with your tour guide.
The history-rich tour has numerous sights to explore. Our first stop might be the Imperial Museum (subject to availability) where we peek into the life of the Orleans e Bragança Family through their clothing, furniture, and jewelry collection. As it’s a private tour, the next stops are your choice - we could visit the Cathedral of Saint Peter, Santos Dumont’s residence (entry fee not included), or shop at Rua Teresa. Choose your adventure! After fulfilling your customized tour, we wrap up our journey and return to Rio.
