The journey begins with a 3-hour drive to the community of Copacabana. Here, a professional guide will share insights into the Andean culture of the Quechua and Aymara people.
After savoring a delicious local lunch, the tour proceeds to the Basilica of the Virgin, where visitors can admire its unique domes and blue tiles. Inside, the Dark Virgin of the Lake is displayed, a figure believed to have performed numerous miracles. Local legend suggests that if it is removed from the cathedral, the lake will rise, potentially flooding the city.
Lake Titicaca - Visit Lake Titicaca
In the afternoon, after a brief rest at a 3-star hotel, guests can enjoy a leisurely stroll through the city streets, exploring handicrafts and local markets. For those interested, a short but challenging walk to Cerro Calvario is available, a site of significant religious importance.
From this vantage point, stunning views of the sunset over Lake Titicaca can be enjoyed.
Upon returning to the accommodation, a private dinner will be served.
Lake Titicaca - Isla del Sol - Isla de la Luna - La Paz
Lake Titicaca - Day 2: An early start allows guests to enjoy breakfast at the hotel and a walk to witness the sunrise over Lake Titicaca. Following this, the guide will lead guests to a private boat for a one-hour journey to Sun Island.
Isla del Sol - Visit Isla del Sol.
Sun Island is renowned as the birthplace of the Inca civilization. In Yumani, located on the island’s southern side, visitors can ascend the stone steps constructed by the Incas leading to the Fountain of Life. The archaeological ruins of the Pilko Kaina Inca Temple can be explored, and the locals’ use of pre-Inca farming techniques on steep terraces can be observed.
For those interested, a trail crossing the ridge to the island’s northern side is available. The native village of Challapampa and its museum, showcasing Inca artifacts, can be visited.
The tour continues with a visit to the Chincana stone labyrinth. Lunch will be enjoyed at a local restaurant.
Copacabana - After lunch, guests will board a private boat to return to Copacabana, taking in the breathtaking natural landscapes.
A private transfer will then take guests back to La Paz.
La Paz Department - After a 3-hour drive on a paved road, the tour concludes in La Paz, where the driver will drop guests off at their preferred location. Arrival in La Paz is expected around 8:00 p.m.

One of the peculiarities of Lake Titicaca are the small floating islands inhabited by a tribe called the Uros.
