- Pont Sidi M’Cid - Wander through the Casbah’s alleyways and along the Boulevard of the Abyss, enjoying the breathtaking views of the landscapes through the gorges. Arrive at the city’s iconic symbol, the 175 m (575 ft) high Sidi M’Cid suspension bridge, with a span of 168 m, connecting the city to the hill.
- Monument Aux Morts - After crossing the suspension bridge, ascend the staircases on the left to reach the open area of the Monument to the Dead. This memorial, shaped like a triumphal arch and topped by a statue of the winged victory, honors the victims of World War I.

- Mellah Slimane Footbridge - Take a short walk across the vertigo-inducing and wobbly Mellah Slimane footbridge to admire the stunning mountainous scenery of hanging houses on the gorge and the deep ravine, dwarfed by the gorges’ enormity. From this vantage point, view the old Bab El Kantara Bridge and the majestic Sidi Rached Viaduct.
- La Medina - After crossing the footbridge, ascend the staircases or take the elevator, continuing along the bustling rue of Larbi Ben M’Hidi. View the 11th-century Great Mosque from the outside, then explore the cobbled alleyways of Souika or the Medina, discovering small marketplaces dating back to the 16th century, the meat section, and houses from the Fatimid period.
- Musee National Cirta - After navigating the Souika labyrinth, proceed to the main center. Depending on health, climb the long or short staircases to reach the fascinating National Museum of Cirta. Explore relics from prehistory, Roman times, the Punic era, and the Islamic and French periods, all arranged on the ground floor with an exhibition hall and an upper floor, excluding the garden.
- Emir Abdelkader Mosquee - Take the tramway from the main center terminal to the most impressive landmark of Constantine, the Emir Abdelkader Mosque. It is an ideal place to appreciate the beauty of its Islamic architecture and the richness of its lavish decoration.

Constantine, alternatively referred to as Qasentina, serves as the administrative center of the Constantine Province in Algeria’s northern region. It is often dubbed the City of Bridges due to its captivating landscape, situated atop a high plateau, 640 meters above sea level, nearly encircled by steep gorges with the Rhumel River slicing through. Steeped in historical significance, Constantine’s origins date back to the Phoenician era, who called it Sewa (meaning ‘royal city’). Subsequently, the city became part of Numidia, where it was known as Cirta, until it was conquered by the Romans and renamed in honor of Emperor Constantine the Great.
