Carol I Mosque - Situated in the Ovid Square area, Carol I Mosque stands as the primary Muslim religious structure and one of the most stunning architectural landmarks in the region. Construction began in 1910, initiated by King Carol I, which is why the mosque bears his name, and was completed in 1913. The grand opening occurred on May 31st, attended by the royal family and Muslim dignitaries from Romania. The project was led by Victor Stefanescu, a prominent architect of the early 20th century, and the building was constructed by Gogu Constantinescu.
Blending a unique combination of Egyptian, Byzantine, and Romanian architectural styles, Carol I Mosque is the first building in the country to utilize reinforced concrete in its construction. A notable feature is its large dome, crafted from the innovative materials mentioned earlier. While many Muslim places of worship feature domes, this one is architecturally inspired by Christian, specifically Byzantine, design.
Mamaia Beach - Mamaia is a top choice for a beach vacation in Romania, located on the Black Sea. It epitomizes a classic seaside resort, offering relaxing beaches, delicious food, and a variety of entertainment options, including an amusement park.
Constanta Casino Promenade - Over its 100-year history, the Casino has undergone numerous transformations, consistently serving as a major attraction for both tourists and locals.
Between 1880 and 1890, the Casino, known as Cazin or Kursal, was a wooden structure on the seashore, situated a few hundred meters from its current location. It featured a ballroom, a reading room with French newspapers, a games room, and a terrace. During summer evenings, tourists, seamen, and the local elite gathered here for city hall-organized balls, accompanied by brass bands or renowned artists of the time. The venue also hosted theatrical performances, soirées, conferences, literary readings, and masquerade balls. Chess, backgammon, and domino games added to the bohemian atmosphere.

Danube Delta - Boat Trip Included!
The Danube River, flowing into the Black Sea, forms Europe’s largest and best-preserved delta. The Danube Delta is home to over 300 bird species and 45 freshwater fish species across its numerous lakes and marshes.
Spanning 580,000 hectares, the delta is a haven for a vast array of waterbirds, including two species of pelicans, herons, storks, cormorants, and terns. It serves as a favored stopover for migrating birds and a wintering site for waterbirds migrating from the steppes, boreal forests, and tundras further north.
The area also features some of Europe’s last remaining grazed mosaic forest landscapes, such as the beautiful woodlands of Letea and Caraorman. Beavers are gradually returning, the region supports healthy populations of golden jackals, and white-tailed eagles are making a notable comeback.
