Great way to spend a day! - This tour was a great way to spend a day. Tour guides Jose, Pablo and bus driver Tony did an awesome job taking us to the sights, telling us about everything we saw and sharing their knowledge. Experiences included feeding iguanas in trees in a local park, a river boat safari where we saw lots of crocs, iguanas, migratory birds and monkeys. We were provided a delicious Costa Rican lunch and shown how to press sugar cane juice with a traditional press. Same was for tasting coffee brewed in the old traditional ways. Overall a really fun day!

Great experience - Great experience! Our guide Carlos was very knowledgeable and friendly! Our boat captain was also great (forgot his name). We happened to go at low tide and saw plenty of crocodiles, even a baby crocodile about 30cm long! Plenty of migratory birds as well, and iguanas and other lizards. Food was at a local ranch, and was very traditional and our kids ate well.

A Real Life Jungle Cruise - Alan was a GREAT guide. He was so knowledgeable. We had an amazing boat captain who could spot the tiniest things from far away. We learned a lot on this tour. We saw capuchin monkeys, basilisk lizards, bats, lots of birds and even a crocodile fight. There were other companies doing this tour too but our guide was far more attentive than any of the other companies. We also went to a great place for a traditional meal. Our entire family ages 4- adult were engaged on this trip.

Enjoyable tour! - Really enjoyed our trip! It was very educational and our guide was very knowledgeable, friendly, and fluent in the English language. The meal they served was one of the best meals we've had in Costa Rica!

This tour was spectacular with Gino! - This tour is an absolute must & Gino our tour guide was amazing! He was so funny & taught us so much about the different zones & beaches of Costa Rica. We was so many beautiful birds, different reptiles, monkeys, & even babies! We definitely got up close & personal w/the Crocodiles, but you'll have to take the tour to see for yourself!!! Afterwards, we had a great, locally prepared & even went to a park nearby to visit some tiny dinosaurs! This tour was so entertaining & Gino made it what it was, nothing short of spectacular!

An incredible experience! Pure Nature does it all. - We arranged this tour with Carlos at Pure Nature. Our guide Pablo showed up promptly and showed us many sights in addition to our tour. Pablo was so kind, knowledgeable and accommodating. We have great pictures to remember our day. Pablo and Carlos are the best!! You see so much wildlife on this tour.

Not exactly what we expected but overall good - This excursion consisted of a Safari boat ride in the Palo Verde national park followed by a Casado lunch at Los Coyotes. Pick up from our hotel was provided and it was a long drive. When we got to the boat, the actual operator of the boat (who was not the tour guide who picked us up) pointed out numerous wildlife including various birds, monkeys and of course crocodiles. There was not a lot of narration about the area (as he spoke Spanish only) but he did try to point out as much as he could in the short time we had. Lunch was a Chicken Casado served family style at Los Coyotes - it was very good. The biggest pitfall of the tour is that in the original itinerary they include a trip to a waterfall, and even on the reminder email the day before, they list what to bring and it includes swim suit and towel; however, after lunch the tour ended. When we asked about the waterfall, the tour guide said that the waterfall was not only very far away but was closed. The tour operator did end up refunding us some money ( which was paid promptly in cash and left at our hotel ) and I believe this part of the itinerary is no longer included in the description. Otherwise this is a good way to see crocodiles and other wildlife but coming from Playa Conchal , this definitely took up a big part of the day

Not good for solo travelers - This tour group confirmed the tour by email on Friday. I traveled all day Saturday knowing I needed to get up early on Sunday to meet the tour van across town. After I arrived at the appointed place and the van didn't come and didn't come, I texted them and then found a Saturday email cancelling the tour "because of weather." (It was a beautiful day.) They texted me back saying they cancelled the tour because I was the only person who had signed up. An unfriendly experience.
