I did both the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Tour and the Anchorage City Tour combined together on the same day due to the tour scheduling. It was fun. I learned a lot about Alaska and Anchorage. I thought the tour guide, Ben, was knowledgeable and informative about the tour material. It was a nice experience and I’m glad I did it while on my trip to Alaska. - Martin
I had a wonderful time on my day of the Turnagain Arm and Wildlife Tour and the All Around City Tour in Anchorage! our guide, Ben, had great stories and information to share with us, and the scenery of Alaska really speaks for itself! We stopped at multiple points on the drive down the Seward Scenic Highway to take photos and to just take the scenery in. The Wildlife Conservatory was very enjoyable. The City Tour gave me, I think a very well-rounded idea of what Anchorage has to offer! I enjoyed Earthquake Park, Lake Hood, and the Native Medical Center’s Art Collection the most. Ben has lots of good recommendations of things to do in and around Anchorage as well. Thanks for a great day!
Very interesting tour from a native Alaskan
I highly recommend this or any other tour offered by Alaska's Finest Tours & Cruises. As a solo traveler, taking a last minute trip in the off season, I prepared for the possibility of the tour not happening. Fortunately that was not the case! He was very willing to work with me - first trying to possibly include me with another group that was going out before ultimately taking me out solo. Even though it was just me, I got the full experience. Maybe even a bit more. I appreciated all of the first hand knowledge about the area. Taking the tour enabled me to see things I would not have known about other wise so that I could decide on areas I wanted to focus. That really helped me plan the rest of my stay. He took me to perfect places for amazing pictures of the breathtaking views, Moose viewing and sampling local products. I learned about some upcoming plans he has that will really be beneficial to tourists very soon. If you have an opportunity to book a tour with them - don't hesitate, just do it!
Our guide Ben made this tour memorable.
The tour person, his name is Ben , was a very friendly and professional. He was knowledgeable tour guy.
Tour guide Ben is really nice and very knowledgable. Many places in Anchorage are just amazing. We really enjoyed the tour and appreciated Ben's great help - thanks!
Ben does an excellent job of sharing how s beautiful town. Hey s love of Alaska and knowl Ste about its history made for a very educational and enjoyable tour. He went out of his way to custom tailer the tour to meet the needs of the group. I would highly recommend it.
I really enjoyed both tours while in Anchorage. They were both very informative and fun. I liked the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center & Turnagain Arm Tour best. The many glaciers that we saw, the Dall Sheep, Trumpeter Swans and beautiful mountains. The Wildlife Conservation Center was very impressive with the many animals that the care for and are able to release back into their natural enviroment. I would highly recommend this tour. The only thing I would add is to have some bottled water available for your guests.
This is an awesome tour to see and learn things about the city of anchorage. this is not your mundane tour. Very interesting and informative. This tour provides real insight about life in anchorage. In my opinion this is a must do tour. You won't regret it. One personal observation- as we do in the movies, "silence your telephones". Your personal calls interrupts the tour and make others among you uncomfortable. Just show a little respect for all on the tour. My tour guide had to politely and professionally ask a client to terminate a call but only after receiving several.

Tour guide was very knowledgeable and took us to interesting places. Excellent knowledge of the area and history of anchorage. Very impressive. Please send out thanks and good wishes to him.
Our tour guide been, was fabulous, very well-informed, highest level of service possible! It was a great start to what has proven to be a fabulous trip to Alaska. Many thanks!!!
Tour Manager Ben thought out of the box and found a few local attractions that were not on the agenda. The Turnagain Surfers were unique. He is local and knows his town.
We enjoyed all the interesting stops; especially all the interesting displays at the hospital. We did feel that our guide left a few lulls in conversation at times during the tour but gave us interesting information about Anchorage otherwise.
Because I had a groupon it was difficult to book until late the night before our last day in Anchorage. The driver was late so we met at Ulu factory. The tour was fun though once we got going.
Ben was a very good tour guide. We learned a lot on this tour. We liked the ulu factory with the bonus viewing of the men catching salmon at the back of the factory. He also brought us around to look for moose, wild goats and was ready with binoculars for us to use. We will gladly recommend these tours to our friends.

well planned. enjoyed it!
I believe you covered what you said you'd cover. We learned about Alaska's history from a Native Alaskan. I think that was important prior to starting our tour of the interior. I think a little bit too much time as spent looking for a moose but that's okay. We didn't expect that but perhaps others in our group did.
Ben was great at showing a new moving couple (to Anchorage) the city. He even bought my girlfriend and the whole van cupcakes for her birthday. It was very appreciated!
THe tour gave us a glimpse into the native Alaskan culture and heritage. The locations on the tour were unique, historic and the guide was very knowledgeable and helpful.
Had a good time. And Ben found a moose! The tour was very informative.
I'm not sure about the protocol for dropping off your people. There certainly didn't seem to be any problem dropping off at the major hotels. But getting dropped off in an unkniwn spot and having to find $10 taxi back to accommodation after passing said accommodation on route to the citi seemed a bit rude to me.
The tour was awesome. I was able to see some interesting places and visit local unique shops.
The tour was very informative and Ben, the tour guide, was very knowledgeable. We went on a Sunday and the Ulu Factory wasn't opened so he ended up taking us up to Flat Rock. It was awesome and then we drove down a wooded area and saw moose and bald eagles. Would highly recommend this tour.
Ben and Daniel were great tour guides. I enjoyed learning the history of Alaska from the native perspective. The craft exhibit at the hospital is not to be missed! They even threw in an extra stop so I could try some reindeer sausage and smoked salmon. Yummy! They went out of there way to make my trip memorable even with 12 inches of snow in the ground. The moose sighting right in town was even better than seeing one out in the woods.
