Take the upgraded tour - I visited the museum for a research project and it was fantastic! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and we learned so much about the American athletes as well as the various sites for the Olympics. The collection is vast and the ending film was well produced. A must see for anyone with Olympic dreams or fans of Olympic sports.

Do not miss! - Our family almost decided to skip the museum, but we're sure glad we didn't. It had the right amount of interactive displays to keep us engaged. We especially enjoyed competing against each other in the games. I feel that most of the focus of the public is on the Olympics, so I appreciated that the Paralympics got equal mention. I enjoyed learning about these athletes and their sports. We can't wait for the winter games next year!

Definite worth a stop! - I did not set aside enough time for this place. It was so impressive and interactive. You need at least and hour and a half just to breeze through it so plan on 2-3 hours here. The interactive items were fun and send you emails on how you did. The content is customized if you want it to be with walk up technology. They have so much from the games and it’s amazing to see up close. A definite recommendation if you are in the area. You won’t be sorry. And the staff is amazing. Some are extra special and all are so sweet!

Olympic Spirit on display! - The Museum really captured the Olympic spirit. The space is not very big, but it was jam-packed with artifacts, stories, and interactive displays that utilized technology to personalize the experience and make it more accessible. We were especially impressed that the Paralympics got equal recognition throughout the museum and was not treated as a footnote. We could not give it five stars because we ran into some difficulties getting the interactive sports activities to work as intended. It was frustrating. Other than that, we enjoyed our visit.

Amazing reminders of sport history - We were able to purchase admission (without guides) as walk-ups. We left our backpacks with staff who put them away and returned them at the end of our visit. We enjoyed reading the many descriptions of displayed items and viewing the video at the end of the visit. It brought to the forefront events and athletes we had heard about and seen in news from childhood and on up. We were able to move from exhibit to exhibit easily with the attendance that day. There are restrooms along the way and a gift shop at the end. History buffs would enjoy visiting.

Please leave unnecessary politics out of your tours - We went on July 31, 2025 and the tour guide was well informed and interesting. However, at certain times during our tour she swerved into commentary that seemed to be unnecessary. While talking bout the black power protest of Tommie Smith and John Carlos during the 1968 Olympics (an important historical event, to be sure), she veered into criticism of the current political climate in a way that was inappropriate and off-putting. I was disappointed and taken out of the 1968 context. Please leave politics out of it (at least the ones that aren't relevant). Being a tour guide is not the place to vent personal political views, especially when half your potential paying audience may not feel the way you do. I also echo other statements here: the museum building is beautiful but the displays seem sparse. There are long, under-utilized hallways and corners, and many of the artifacts, while interesting, don't really tell a story. So much potential here, but for $30 per person it's not the greatest value. We are museum completists but still finished the tour in about 90 minutes. I was hoping for more and hope it can improve, but I would hesitate to recommend this to anyone visiting the area. Three stars, but one added for the amazing building.

So much wasted opportunity - I really expected.... and wanted... to like this museum more than I did. After all, what could be more exciting than the Olympics... and seeing the history of all our great American Olympians on display? But this place really failed to reflect that excitement. There were definitely some interesting displays and artifacts, but everything seemed to be treated in a superficial manner, not providing any of the buildup that makes the moments of triumph so enduring. Even the movies just skimmed too many surfaces far too fast. This place seems tailored to the modern short attention span rather than those truly interested in the subject. Top that off with crazy ticket prices for what you get and I just can't recommend it.
