Cologne, I always return and it always surprises me with its peace, its picturesque city and its history. - Colonia has that beautiful colonial appeal, the historical, the picturesqueness of its houses, streets.
And at the same time, a few blocks away it mixes with the beauty of its city. The beautiful marina.
Its streets are tree-lined, quiet.
The life of its people is very quiet, the silence of its vehicular traffic is almost non-existent.
The views of the RÃo de la Plata are beautiful and even more so on a clear day.
One can explore everything on foot since the distances are close, its beaches are 1.5 km from the center.
I visited it many times and it always continues to surprise me with its charm.

DO NOT INCLUDE FOOD WITH YOUR TICKET - The trip in beautiful but getting the food included with the trip is a mistake. Viator charge me $60.00 US dollars for the included food but when you go on the trip you go to a marginal restaurant and for those $60.00 you get an specific menu, below the standard of the regular menu and with the regular menu you only pay about $20.00 US dollars. DO NOT PURCHASE YOUR MEAL WITH THE TICKET you will get better food for about one third of the price

This visit is not worth it. At least for us, remembers Paraty well worse. I paid 700 reals. - The driver left us in the boat and there we turned alone we took the boat of 1 hour and arriving in sacrament we looked for the guichê of the tour. We took the bus and then walked. I do not recommend. Even terrible lunch.
One hour of ferry to go and another to return
And on the turn there is no driver we have to turn ourselves. Do not take a taxi at the boat door to go exploration hotel and do not use speedometer want to charge closed price. Grab 3 squares later. Thieves of taxis

A day in Colonia del Sacramento, Uruguay - Visit only the historic center! - It is worth doing only the walking tour of the historic center, which is a short trip with a local guide, who departs from the square and takes you to the most relevant places of the place. There is tour at 11, 1 and 3pm
Taking the full city tour on the bus is an absolute waste of time as there is nothing interesting to see and what is shown outside the historic center are just abandoned places that worked once. I recommend NOT paying for the bus city tour.
Also, if you are traveling from Buenos Aires with the ferry, make sure you do so in good weather and with a lot of patience to withstand the long shipping and customs lines at each of the ports.

Scam - This is a scam of an Argentine called Gabriel who hires a third party company company that when there’re over 2 hrs delays he refuses to give you a refund.
