Kitulgala, a quaint town, is celebrated for its adventure sports. The town is enveloped by lush trees and rolling hills. Notably, the iconic 1957 Oscar-winning film “Bridge on the River Kwai,” directed by David Lean, was shot here. Adventure enthusiasts visiting Kitulgala predominantly hail from various parts of Sri Lanka. The town’s main draw is whitewater rafting, but it also offers thrilling activities such as jungle trekking, waterfall abseiling, stream sliding, and confidence jumping. Additionally, visitors can enjoy exploring caves and rivers.
