Sigiriya to Polonnaruwa and Minneriya National Park

Sigiriya - In and around Polonnaruwa

Stop At: Polonnaruwa, Sri Lanka. After breakfast the following morning, visit the archaeological city of Polonnaruwa. Enjoy a delightful lunch before heading to a national park to observe numerous wild elephants. Return to the hotel in Sigiriya for an overnight stay.

Sigiriya to Kandy

Dambulla - After breakfast, visit the renowned Sigiriya Rock Fortress. A village tour can be arranged upon request. Then, drive to Kandy, stopping at a spice garden and a Hindu temple along the way. Upon arrival, check into the hotel in Kandy.

Stop At: Sigiriya The Ancient Rock Fortress
Sigiriya is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, celebrated for its well-preserved ancient urban planning. The site is marked by a massive rock column nearly 200 meters (660 ft) high.
Duration: 3 hours

Stop At: Hindu Temple Matale
Sri Muthumariamman Temple is dedicated to Mariamman, the goddess of rain and fertility. A prominent feature of this temple is its 55 m (180 ft) high Gopuram (‘Raja Koburum’), a large decorated tower above the main northern gateway (‘Vadakku Veli Veedi’).

In the Spice Garden, discover various spices, learn about their cultivation and processing, and have the opportunity to purchase them.

Kandy City Tour

Kandy - Kandy is a major city in the Central Province of Sri Lanka. It was the last capital of the ancient kings’ era. Nestled amidst hills in the Kandy plateau, it is surrounded by tropical plantations, mainly tea. Kandy serves as both an administrative and religious center and is the capital of the Central Province. It is home to The Temple of the Tooth Relic (Sri Dalada Maligawa), one of the most sacred Buddhist worship sites, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1988.

Visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, also known as Sri Dalada Maligawa, which houses the relic of Lord Buddha’s tooth. Explore Kandy View Point, stroll around Kandy Lake, and enjoy a shopping excursion at Kandy City Center.

Kandy to Ella

Nuwara Eliya - The train journey from Kandy to Ella is renowned as one of the most scenic in the world. This unforgettable trip begins from Nanuoya, the last royal capital, to Ella, a tranquil village in Sri Lanka’s central highlands.

Ella to Yala

Ella - After breakfast, visit Little Adam’s Peak and Nine Arch Bridge. Then, depart for Tissamaharama, stopping at the Ravana waterfalls along the way. Check into the hotel in Tissamaharama and embark on a jeep safari in Yala National Park in the mid-afternoon. Overnight at the hotel in Tissamaharama.

Stop At: Ravana Ella Falls
Ravana Falls is a popular attraction in Sri Lanka, ranking as one of the country’s widest waterfalls.

Stop At: Yala National Park
Yala National Park is the most visited and second-largest national park in Sri Lanka. It combines a strict nature reserve with a national park, divided into 5 blocks, with a protected area of nearly 130,000 hectares. The park is renowned for its diverse wildlife, including Sri Lankan elephants, leopards, and aquatic birds.

Mirissa

Mirissa - In and around Mirissa

Stop At: Galle Fort, Church Street, Galle 80000, Sri Lanka. After breakfast, transfer to Mirissa. Upon arrival, check into a hotel and spend the night.

Mirissa to Ayapot

Colombo - * Stop At: Bandaranaike International Airport, Katunayake 11450, Sri Lanka. There is no planned itinerary for the day. After breakfast at the hotel, depart for Bandaranaike International Airport in time for your flight (at least 2-3 hours before departure), marking the end of the tour.
