Amazing! - 10/10!!!!! It was an experience worth having. The moment we met Mr Logan, the tour was a vibe! He was EXTREMELY accommodating (we were late because of traffic), and he waited! So that was veryyy much appreciated! He even detoured so that our group can purchase water shoes! The tour itself was breathtaking and gorgeous! The natives were so helpful throughout the hike to the waterfall, and very entertaining when we got to the village. And the kiddies were soooooo adorable! Book with Logan! You won't regret it!!!!

Fabulous experience! Highly recommended! - From the moment our guide picked us up, it felt as though we were being taken to see something special by an old friend. Logan’s English is excellent and he’s a warm and engaging person. The canoe ride to the waterfall and back was absolutely fantastic! The jungle on either side of the river was amazing to see. We didn’t see any exotic wildlife other than a water snake who crossed our (boat’s) path on the way back. We weren’t expecting the hike to the waterfall to be quite as physically demanding as it was. At 57, my wife is the youngest of us but she has mobility issues. Our 75 year old friend, visiting us from the U.S. is in remarkable shape for her age but she overexerted herself getting to the waterfall and as she sat catching her breath, she feinted, tumbling head first into the water! My wife and I were facing the waterfall so we didn’t see it but Logan jumped right into the water (sacrificing his phone) and hauled her up. I’d say that’s well above the call of duty! We accept all the blame for this; if we had eaten breakfast (even so much as an energy bar), it probably wouldn’t have happened. As for me, I’m 62 and don’t consider myself to be in great shape but I had no problem with the hike, helping my wife and our friend, and others on the tour. If you’re older and/or have physical limitations, that’s my take on the hike to the waterfall and back. Be sure to wear good shoes - ones that you don’t mind hiking through water in - and you should be OK. Be aware though, that if your physical limitations are significant, you won’t be allowed to do the hike. (One of the people in our group had to wait in the boat.) The waterfall itself was pretty but a bit underwhelming. It did have a stone at the bottom where you could sit for a great photo op but the water was too cold (by our standards, anyway) to get there. There was also a big rock, approximately 12’/4 meters high, on one side that was climbed by many people who then jumped into the cold water below. (I wanted to but took a pass. Had I twisted an ankle or a knee I would have been quite a burden for our guides on the hike back to the canoe!) Back at the Embera village, we found them to be warm, friendly, and kind. The food served was hot, delicious, and wonderfully presented with big leaves serving as platters and pouches and cones in lieu of plates. They were all garnished with fresh flowers, too - quite lovely! I regret not taking a picture but I suspect Logan will send me pics if I ask. The festivities were very enjoyable, as well. I got asked to dance by a beautiful young Embera woman with delightfully soft hands - what a treat! We got rained on during the canoe trip back to where the car was parked but it wasn’t a heavy rain and we were all just grateful it didn’t happen earlier (as the Embera would not have allowed us to hike to the waterfall (it would have been too slippery and dangerous) if it had rained. In summary, we had to leave at 5:30 AM to make sure we got there on time from Coronado, and the 3.5 hour drive back (SO many accidents!!😡) was stressful and horrific!! In spite of the six hours we spent getting there and back, though, it was absolutely worth it! If I was to do it again (and we very well might!) I’d spend the night at our favorite hotel (Crowne Plaza) and have a hearty breakfast before the tour.
