Grand adventure! - My son found this wonderful activity and showed us a You Tube video of Capt. Steve and after watching that, there was no way we’d miss it! My husband, son and I went today and had a great time with Captain Daniels! winter is probably not the best time to see the Everglades because the swamp waters have receded and most of the Cypress trees are bare, but there was so much to learn about the different ecosystems. Even more fun was learning about this family that was born and raised in the Everglades, right alongside the Seminole tribe. So many cool stories! We highly recommend this off-the-beaten path gem! Thanks, Captain Daniels!

Great time in the swamp! - We took a tour with Captain Steve through the Everglades on a swamp buggy and had a great time. He was very knowledgeable about the ecosystem and the history of the region. Would definitely recommend, especially if you are looking for a more authentic everglades experience.

Fantastic excursion! Do it! - I did this tour back in 2012, and wanted to do it again. We had Captain Daniels this time instead of Cpt Steve. Both are excellent, full of stories of growing up down there. At 76, Daniels has lots of stories and information! This is a beautiful place to see. My first time was a gloomy drizzly day in April (still dry season). This time was at the end of wet season, a beautiful sunny day, and a different experience just due to the water. So fun ANY time you go! It's worth it to do it at different times of the year. HIGHLY recommend this excursion! (don't expect a lot of animals like deer anymore; they will explain to you how the pythons have decimated the mammal life. I saw someone give a mediocre review because they didn't see any animals; that's not their fault. However, the birds are fantastic!)

They go above & beyond! - I messed up scheduling our buggy ride but Capt Steve went above & beyond to make it happen for me & my grandson. What a great tour! Our driver/guide Capt Daniel's is a life-long gladesman and an absolutle treasure trove of information on what we saw combining facts & personal stories. He definitely made our day! I highly recommend this tour.

An excellent tour by someone who knows the Everglades like the back of his hand! - We had had an excellent experience with Captain Steve's swamp buggy tour! There were only three people in our tour so it felt almost like a private tour. Captain Steve knows this part of the Everglades like the back of his hand and shares many interesting facts and stories. Our tour was during the dry season, so we did not see a lot of animals, but it was a great trip anyway. We learned so much about the Everglades and experienced five or six different ecosystems on the trip. Note, you have to drive about 7 miles on an unpaved lime road so I wouldn't take a fancy car. We just left lots of extra time and drove slowly. This is not a highly commercial trip, more like your cousin taking you on his buggy. It was great!

Nice day with the family in the Everglades! - I was born and raised in Florida. I learned more about the Everglades in 4 hours from Steve than I could imagine. His family has been in Florida since the 17 century. Totch Brown was his neighbor. Now that's something. He can tell you stories about Totch. Steve is a big, burly guy who loves his family and what he does. Steve gave me a small discount. I gave it right back to him in a tip. I love seeing people love what they do .Enjoy your visit.

Great whole family experience - My husband, two daughters (6 and 2), and I went out with Captain Daniels on a swamp buggy tour this afternoon. It was a delightful experience for us all! My whole family loves nature, we are all from Florida but Captain Daniels still taught us some very interesting things out there! He was great with the kids and everyone had the best time! Very laid back and a wonderful day spent out in the Everglades exploring and learning. We loved it and will definitely be back!!!

NO REFUND for MECHANICAL FAILURE! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME - if I could leave a ZERO, I would. The buggy broke down and he stated he would refund our money then he refused!! He asked if we all wanted to crowd with another group on to another buggy that was made for 5 or 6 people plus the 4 with my group, there was NO way for 4 hours we would do that. Then he responded to me by email and was rude ... do NOT take this tour , go to WOOTENs you will not be disappointed!
