- Fado ao Centro - The tour proceeds down the steep Rua Quebra Costas to the statue of Tricana, which was once the focus of students’ affections and letters. Discover why Coimbra’s fado is exclusively performed by men.
- Torre de Almedina - Once one of the most formidable towers and the main entrance to Coimbra’s medieval wall, the Almedina Tower remains one of the few surviving sections of the wall, alongside the Barbacã Gate, enduring through time.
- Praca do Comercio - Over the centuries, this “market square” was where locals conducted most of their trade. The square features medieval streets and houses, with historic buildings like the “Medieval House,” the Romanesque Church of Santiago, the Church of St. Bartholomew, and the old Royal Hospital from the 16th century.
- Igreja de Santa Cruz - Visitors will explore the interior of the Church of Santa Cruz, where they can admire treasures such as the Iberian organ and beautiful tiles. If there is no mass, they can also view the tombs of Portugal’s first two kings.
