The Grand Turk sightseeing tour begins at the tram station located near the cruise terminal on the island’s southern end. Once aboard the open-sided tram, the journey takes you all the way to the northern tip of Grand Turk.

Throughout the tour, a local guide will share entertaining facts and insights about the island, highlighting old churches, inns, cannons, windmills, and other historical sites, while also helping you spot wild horses and donkeys. The tour passes by Governor’s Beach and the Space Capsule en route to Cockburn Town, where there will be a stop to enjoy a refreshing drink (not included in the tour price) and sample local food from merchants. There will also be an opportunity to shop for gifts and souvenirs.

Reboard the tram to continue north, passing Her Majesty’s Prison, constructed in the 1830s, and the National Museum, situated in a colonial building. The route includes Crabtree Park and North Creek on the way to the Grand Turk Lighthouse, located at the island’s northern end. Built in 1852, it is the only lighthouse in the Turks and Caicos. After taking some photos, the tour heads back down the island.

The journey through Grand Turk also includes views of the island’s salt ponds, known as ‘salinas.’ These remnants of the historic salt industry now serve as habitats for flamingos and other tropical birds. As the tram passes by, the guide will explain the natural formation of the saltwater ponds and the history of the industry, which dates back to the 1600s.

The tour concludes with a return to the tram station.
