As the sole wolfdog sanctuary in Canada, this non-profit rescue is committed to educating the public and raising awareness about wolfdogs and wild wolves.
The mission is to ensure rescued wolfdogs lead meaningful and enriched lives, while providing experiential education to enhance the understanding and welfare of wolfdogs in our domestic environment. By fostering genuine connections between wolfdogs and people, the aim is to inspire an appreciation for wild wolves and encourage a reconnection with nature.
Situated just east of the Rocky Mountains near Cochrane, Alberta, the sanctuary spans 160 acres and is home to a pack of over 60 resident wolfdogs. In addition to the remarkable wolfdogs, there is a visitor center offering souvenirs and educational materials about wolfdogs and wild wolves. All proceeds from admissions and merchandise directly support the care of the wolfdogs and future rescue efforts.
Please be aware: children must be at least 6 years old to visit due to the sensitive nature of wolfdogs.
