Coca - This enchanting part of the Amazon is situated about 300 km from Quito, the capital of Ecuador. It is located in the Francisco de Orellana province and is affectionately known as “El Coca.” Historically, indigenous groups such as the Tagaeris or Sachas visited this area to conduct healing rituals using chewed coca leaves. Francisco de Orellana is part of the Napo basin and includes the sub-basins of Coca, Payamino, Tiputini, Cononaco, Indillama, and Yasuní. The rivers encircling the city captivate both locals and visitors alike.
El Coca is a vibrant city, where the traditions of the Kichwa, Waorani, and Shuar nationalities blend with the cultural traits of the mestizos and Afro-Ecuadorians, contributing to local development.

At sunset, witness black alligators approximately 4 or 5 meters long, and possibly spot baby alligators.
Yasuní National Park - The wildlife in tropical rainforests is incredibly diverse.
